My Dermatologist recommends "Corn Oil from the health food store." Cheap, non allergenic and effective. Makes my skin feel very soft. If you try it and don't like it, you can always use it for cooking unlike some beauty products I have thrown money at in the past.

Lately I have been using organic virgin coconut oil twice weekly, I really like it alot. Best place to buy a great big jar of it was Costco. The other one I use is ProDerm regenerating creme. I bought it to use after a procedure I had and have been buying it ever since. It is formulated for sensitive skin.Makes my skin feel and look very healthy and dewey. Cost is $55.

The Olive Oil line of Serious Skin Care is great for drier skin, but it absorbs really well. You can buy it at HSN--they have kits that are very affordable.

I like clinique's moisture surge.

I have been using L'Oreal Age Perfect.

I use Olive Oil on my face at night and I've been doing this since I was about 15 yrs old. I swear it's magic.

Olive oil is great but make sure you aren't allergic to it.

I've been a die-hard Origins fan for years but in a pinch I got some Olay Regenerist moisturizer and have purchased it twice since then. For dry skin it works very well.

I use Josie Maran's Argan oil. First cold press, 100% pure argan oil. No allergic reaction to it. Love!

forgot to mention...for softer skin make sure you are getting enough Omega-3. I take a supplement because I don't like to eat fish. I could tell the difference in my skin, when I get out of the shower my face no longer feels like it's going to crack if I don't get moisturizer on it immediately. That plus a little Argan oil is it takes.

Golddust, I never even thought about someone being allergic to Olive Oil.

I've suggested using Olive oil as a topical lotion to people who have exzema and psoriasis and it's really helped them. I know others who have used it on a baby's bottom when creams haven't helped with diaper rash.

I didn't know Sophia used Olive oil. Guess i'm in good company.

Speaking of allergies, my doctor won't go near anything with corn due to gmo's. He thinks it's a real problem and you can't guarantee a corn product is free from some history there. Beats me but it's something I'm going to watch more carefully.

There is a great line of skin care I found at Sephora called First Aid Beauty. I use several of their products and recommend it to everyone. I have sensitive skin, lots of skin allergies, and this doesn't irritate me at all.

The moisturizer has colloidal oatmeal in it. It is a huge jar, absorbs quickly, and a great price - $28 for 6 oz. If you are by a store, swing by and ask for a sample - they are happy to give you one.

My newest convert is my physical therapist. I gave her a little sample, three days later she went and got some for herself and her daughter. It's good stuff!

I can use olive oil and do but my Dermatologist said corn oil from the health food store (organic) is best if one has allergies. He said many people can be allergic to olive oil... I don't know because I am not allergic but I have to assume he does know.

I use all kinds of moisturizers, but for daytime use the most important ingredient for me is sunscreen.

Those of you that use natural oils, how do you apply it? I've heard about using oils (olive, coconut, etc) a lot lately, but curious if you just pour it on your fingertips and spread on.

I must admit that I'm lazy about moisturizing each night but I do notice a huge difference the next morning if I've used moisturizer the night before. I do use it in the morning each day, but I feel like my skin does look better all day if I've put some on at night before bed. You'd think that would be motivating enough!

I use Oil of Olay regenerating serum during the day, with ROC (think that's what it's called) moisturizer on top of that b/c it has sunscreen. However, weird thing about it is that if I haven't used it in a while, it kind of burns my skin initially the first few times I use it (makes it red). At night, I've just been using a generic night moisturizer, but am thinking of trying olive or coconut oil. With humidity around the corner though, I wonder if my skin will look too oily?

I am currently using Vitamin E oil from Dollar General. It's a combination of Vitamin E, soy, and coconut oil. It cost a dollar. I put it on at night and morning after washing my face. I noticed that our local pharmacy has 100% pure Argan oil for $2.99, so might try that. So far, no allergic or other reactions.

I am in love with Dr Hauschka products. I have given the sample kit below to a few people and so far everyone has loved it.

I have sensitive skin and rosacea. :( this stuff seems to work really well. One day not too long ago DH even commented hat without make up may face was looking so good. then I ran out of the senstive toner and I got the opposite comment. :( lol!

The toner in the sample kit is too harsh for me, I use Rhythmic Conditioner, Sensitive and it makes a world of difference.

I've been using Clinique moisturizer for decades. Now that I'm in my 50s, the oiliness in my face is dying down, and in the winter, I add in the Clinique Moisture Surge, because sometimes parts of my face get a little dry.

I like Philosophy's Jar of Hope. Very moisturizing but feels light and airless on my skin.

Caroleoh, I was going to recommend Jar of Hope also! What I like about it, along with Philosophy's Amazing Grace body cream, is they're both whipped. I've used other moisturizers that are also whipped and they seem to keep my skin feeling hydrated longer.

Years ago I reacted to almost every commercial skin cream so began to use vegetable/nut oils for all my skin care.

In order of preference I'd rate them like this:

Argan oil - extremely beneficial and within a few minutes it absorbs and doesn't feel oily
Coconut oil - love how my skin feels and smells and it's great for removing makeup
Tamanu oil - it's a fantastic skin oil but rated lower only because of it's intense nut-like scent. I mix a drop of it with coconut oil
Apricot kernel oil - very good
Peach kernel oil - very good
Olive oil - works well but I find it has an oilier feel and I have to wipe it off with a warm damp washcloth

I use only organic, cold-pressed, virgin oils and add pure essential oils known to be good for skin care, such as Rose Absolute, Lavender, Frankincense, Geranium, and others. For damaged or aging skin an excellent essential oil is Wild Carrot Seed but I prefer Rose Absolute as it has a more pleasant scent. Please don't use fragrance oils and expect results. They are toxic substances.

I use these oils twice a day after my shower and notice the difference in how my skin looks if I miss even once. My skin is very sensitive but I clean it by washing with soap (not detergents) and moisturizing with oils. The only thing these products don't have are the fancy containers and high prices of most skin care products!

I have used oil of olay for sensitive skin with sunscreen since I was a teenager. Lately, I have added whipped coconut oil to my skin and love it. I use it on my face and neck before bed, and on my whole body except my face after showering in the morning. Whipping it makes really easy to apply. I just whip small amounts in my kitchen aid stand mixer and put in a jar.

Clinique moisturizers. (I commented on your other thread so I won't repeat my comments here)

I use Arbonne FC5 line. I have rosacea and also use a prescription topical cream called hydronect. I've used a lot of different products and really love Arbonne (and no I'm not a salesperson).

I also use an organic line called Suki that I buy in a local shop for when I runout of Arbonne and can't get it fast enough. I use coconut oil on my dry cracked over washed hands (I work in a hospital) and nothing comes close to moisturizing my hands to the way coconut oil does.
