ignore it. when my grandmother passed away she left no will and tons of debt. her only asset was her home, and she owed more on it than it was worth. we asked the family lawyer what to do and he said to send the hospitals a death cert, and tell everyone else she had died intestate. certainly after 6 years there is no legal recourse for them. heck, i bet the debt has been sold to a junk debt buyer and they are jsut trying to keep the DOLA current to reset the statute of limitations. any response at all could possibly trigger a SOL reset and thus they will really start bugging you then. once they figure out the person is deceased they will simply sell teh debt to another JDB and the process starts all over. so ignore it.

Looks great! I thought I posted to the original thread but I don't see me on there. I'm a Penzeys fan, too! I do mine a little differently. Spices/herbs taste best if used within at least 6 months or so, I try to use them within a year. I have 'stages' of storage. I have a VERY tiny kitchen so I can't do what you all do so that dictates my choice. I get the big bags of Penzeys & put them in a stand up box with cardboard 'file tabs' for categories like 'Baking' 'Herbs' 'Curries, Chilies' & so on. I have a lot. I put the big box in the bottom of my French Door freezer. I keep most-oft used bags of spices/herbs in the freezer shelf for easy access. I store the smaller jars in the door of my fridge. I know cold storage isn't optimal but it's better than going stale in the cupboard before I can use them all. I color code & name them with sticky tabs on the top of the label. Green is herbs, & another color for baking, & so on. I store by the color code so I can quickly find what I'm looking for. I keep a few used-daily spices/herbs in my kitchen cupboard.

This is what I suspected, lindac92. Every time I hear one of those commercial I hear the words that make susceptible people hear that if they buy these "collector" items that they will some day be worth a lot. I guess it would be illegal if they didn't actually provide the item, in this case pretty china bells, but the only value I can see is if the collector gets enjoyment out of handling and looking at them. So way to much effort to maybe get $15 dollars for what once cost $700. Better to just drop them off at Goodwill.
