Can Anyone Recommend A Good Diet or Detox Book ?

I need to find a couple of good diet and/or detox books. Over the thanksgiving holiday my sister mentioned that she would like some, so I figured it would make for a good christmas present.

Can anyone tell me their favorites?

The Fat Flush books are excellent detox books. The author, Anna (or Ann) Marie Gettman really explains the functions of our internal organs and guides you through a fairly easy detox process.

Thank you. I asked one of my friends the same question and she mentioned those same books! I am definitely going to order from amazon.

Another two that were mentioned to me was "Living Beauty Detox Program: The Revolutionary Diet for Each & Every Season of a Woman's Life" by: Ann Louise Gittleman

And "The Complete Colon Cleanse: The At-Home Detox Program to Restore Good Health, Boost Vitality, and Ensure Longevity" by: Dr. Edward F. Group

Have you heard of either of these? I googled both of them and found good reviews on both... but don't always trust those.

Yes, Weeds of the Northeast is the book you want. Good photographs, good information on best control strategies, habit, habitat, etc. It is expensive, and I wouldn't have bought it sight unseen. The only complaint I have about it, is that it can be hard to find what you are looking for. However, once you find it, there isn't usually any doubt that it's the right plant.

Hello Grizzman, I have faced this same question myself when I became interested in hydroponics. I've read pretty much every ebook out there but found most of them to be too time consuming or difficult to follow. My personal favorite is Sara Tomeo's YouGroHydro. This was by far the least expensive and easiest to follow option and fits everything you'd need to know into a concise 20 pages. You can tell it's written by a professional. Even better, the author is always available through email with questions, although I had very few. Whichever book you choose good luck! I love DHC too and have been a loyal customer to their olive oil skin care products-I recommend any of their skin care products. I have been using a skin care product that feels similar to it, I use a Neck Cream and Night Cream-part of the Be Fine Food Skin Care collection. The Neck Cream has mushrooms, iris flower and caffeine, all of which help firm, tighten and smooth the skin. Xminion, have not heard about Larson's latest book and I hesitate to buy and put it on my "TBR" (to be read) pile which already requires me to use a step stool to reach the top. :-) I'd love to see the Chicago Museum building. I take it it is no longer white? It really must have been breathtaking to see the whole fair in white. A gal in our book club, and the one who chose this book, grew up in Chicago and her grandfather worked on the fair buildings so she shared some photos and old movie footage from back in the day. I think anything written by Ann Louise Gittleman is excellent. I have used the Fat Flush plan to detox with great results for my weight plus the health benefits of doing so. Good luck.
