Make sure that you receive a coupon for 35% off. Perhaps you and your DH should walk in separately to increase your chance of getting a scratch off card with 35%. We dropped into another store this morning and they extended the same discount to another couple things that we picked up today. I swapped out the cassis color for blue. DH and I didn't agree on orange or light green. We tried cassis but it looked awful in the kitchen. Blue was the "safe" choice. LOL!
I'll be waiting to see which color you choose!

I want a clear yellow. Like the new Soleil. But, I wonder if it's in the outlets?? I've changed the color scheme in the house from Med. colors to gray, light sky blue and clear light yellow with a teeny bit of black and purple.

Unfortunately, DH and I can't "walk" in separate. The only way to get me to the store is in a transporter so DH has to push, can't use a wheelchair.

That's funny you two can't agree. :) I wish they had a sky blue.

It's a very pretty color, but I would call before you make the trip. I don't recall seeing the soliel at yesterday's outlet.

New non stick skillets were mentioned in the OP. Does anyone know if these will work on induction?

YES, I believe that they do. Just give the outlet a call. I'm at work, but if I recall correctly, most of their products are compatible.

I can see that there's going to be a learning curve with these skillets and pots. Last night's BSCBreasts were chunked and sauteed in the black bottomed skillet. They developed a bit of browning and were tougher than the way they turn out from a nonstick skillet.

DH noticed that his morning oatmeal cooked differently in the saucepan too. I'll be doing some reading and figuring out the tips and tricks. If you have any to share, please add them!

Because of this post I made my way to the LC Outlet today and scratched off a ticket for 30% savings. I bought a nonstick sauteuse to try on my new induction unit.

They actually had an induction unit at the store - the first time I've seen one working in person! They had a stew simmering in a regular LC porcelain enameled pot.

Can't wait to try mine! They told me to keep the scratch card because the savings would apply through the remainder of February.

Yay! Last night I made a sauteed mixture of ground turkey, chopped onions, garlic and shallots, along with leftover marinara, wine, and a few other odds and ends. I used the new signature braisier and it developed flavors nicely!

I was reading online for ideas and most folks seem to love the dutch ovens etc for meats, stews, soups and Artisan bread, but I'd love more ideas. Especially ones for quick cooking after work! I'm already sold on the dutch ovens, that's one of the reasons I wanted more LeCreuset.

I'm having some oral surgery next week, I guess I'll hone my soup skills!

I just ordered the six piece set in Soleil. Yesterday, I hit "Submit" on the big round Dutch oven but the stuff is so expensive I quit with the one piece. This set has EVERYTHING I wanted and does not include the piece I ordered yesterday. Oh, I wish it would be here tomorrow!

Is $999 a good price for the 6 piece set? I'm considering it as I'm in love with the 12" pan I received recently! I don't know a whole lot about Le Creuset though in a practical application - how are they with sticking compared to stainless steel?

Here's LC tips for use. There's some good info on sticking...just the opposite of SS, add oil before preheating instead of heating the pan first.

Wow, I love the color!! I'm so pleased that I you were able to take advantage of a deal on the color that you were yearning for!
The umbrella is an added bonus? it's beautiful too.
I had purchased the little saucepan and the brasier pan on my foray to the outlet. I've barely used the sauce pan, Dh wanted it, and it overcooked his oatmeal. Obviously there's a learning curve for us. However the brasier pan rocks! I have made delicious chicken and a good spaghetti meat sauce so far. I can see that lower and slower develops flavor. The large fry pan is going to be my challenge. I'm so used to nonstick, I still reach for the couple skillets I have remaining. They're lighter and easier to deal with after cooking.
