Oh, Dr. Henry, you tell me there is so much more for me to worry about, more even than a sweet and willing gardener who accidentally uses RoundUp on my roses. I do not even like to view the space where 400-500 beautiful roses once lived and bloomed in my garden and now twigs of memory and dying leaves abound. If I had any other diseases to combat other than those I already know,I most likely would consume a bottle of RoundUp. It's just too much for my non-intellectual, non-scientific, right-brain mind.

That's very nice of you, Debra. I'm sure you'll have some takers!!! I just dug out around 75 myself this past week. I caught some ladies in a van doing some rummage sale-ing and they took some, gave a ton to my mother in law, a ton to her church, and the rest to my friend at work. Whew! I dug at 3am so I wouldn't fry from the heat this past week. I have some more on my list to leave, too. This year wasn't the best for analyzing. It would have been the first full year for Twyleth Teg (sp?) and the scapes were so weak that it was laying on the ground. The person I bought it from said they were strong scapes (and I saw them at her farm and they were!). We'll have to see about some of these next year... Good luck with your cleaning house! Dani

I got some cuttings but unfortunately the person's tree died, so the scionwood was bad. Thought I'd ask if anyone has any dormant cuttings they have or can take quickly before weather warms up :). Contact me via email if ya do. Also a related question: I've had success grafting plum scionwood with whip and tongues now (almost 95% success rate a few years ago). Now if I were to graft peaches to plum and peach rootstock trees, does early spring whip and tongues work out, or you'd recommend to save the scionwood in the refridgerator and do summer budding and not even attempt whip grafting now?
