Unplugging did not help, unfortunately. I tried everything, from moving it to a different socket in a different room, to even opening the back and looking at the picture tube to see if anything was burnt. I didn't find anything. If someone knows how to fix this problem, please say something because I have no TV at the moment.

My 1998 PM rear projection tv model number 7p5451c101 displays a blue screen with wavy horizontal lines over the top of my regular picture. I can barely see shadows of the picture behind it. The signal chassis number is 212844e050b. When I press the menu button the picture goes black within 5 sec. I read other postings about replacing the R3340 resistor but I when I opened up the back of the tv I was overwhelmed with 6 circuit boards, three for the tubes, one larg signal chassis board, one large board next to the sig chassis and one small board mounted on the side. The sound works great, all AUX channels show blue screen. I need some direction before I start tearing out circuit boards. Any help is much appreciated.

That board is most often called the CRT controller board.
