We have red vertical lines across the screen of our 37 inch magnavox. this started 6 months after purchase. the lines sometimes go away but are there mostly all of the time. also the little green light at the bottom of the screen still stays on after the tv is turned off until about 5-10 minutes later. can you help?

From what I can gather, it appears someone named "Pee Wee" who had a lot of knowledge about Philips/Magnavox televisions, used to post on here several years ago - no longer does. As far as your problem, from what you're describing, it is not a horizontal deflection problem, but a Vertical Deflection problem - that's why there are only horizontal scan lines in the center of the screen. While it could be a semiconductor failure, I would first suspect that an electrolytic capacitor(s) failed in the vertical deflection circuit - simply due to old age and drying out. Unless you have electronics troubleshooting experience, bin boxes of misc parts sitting around, and just simply are looking for something to do, it is just simply beyond economical repair.

My friend bought a SV2000 DVD recorder to use on her Magnavox TV (model # 25f800 7583) but the tv is mono. She connected the coaxial correctly, but the tv itself does not let her turn to AUX, INPUT, etc. through the remote nor on the tv itself. It only has a MENU button, but it does not work. She's tried channels, 2,3,4 and went below 2 to see if the AUX/ INPUT would be accessed that way, but no luck. Any suggestions?

A year ago Cayo D posed the Phillips/Magnavox projection TV image problem. Today I have almost the exact problem with my 55" set (Model #9P5514C101).
