Pan conversion (baking a cake)

My husband's birthday is on Monday and I want to make him a German Chocolate cake. I have a recipe for Anne Byrn's 'Amazing German Chocolate Cake' recipe that calls for using a bundt pan. He isn't really fond of bundt cakes if you know what I'm saying. I mean he knows cake is cake but wants the whole frosted, stacked layers variety.

I know the volume is about right to use the round pans instead of a 12 cup bundt but am really unsure about how long the cook time will be. Using the bundt I would cook for 48 - 52 minutes. Same for the rounds? I'm guessing my time will be shorter, guessing being the operative term here.

I would love to hear the thoughts of those more experienced in cake baking. Thank you.

Kate
