Philips Magnavox TV problem TP2785CI

Hi,

I have Philips Magnavox TP2785CI TV, 5 yr old. By mistake I turned it on and off repeatedly with remote control. Now, when I turn the TV on, all i get is No AUDIO and a pale white screen with horizontal lines in it. It then automatically shuts off after another 5-10 seconds.

Hey Pee Wee, if you happen to read this please let me know the solution to this problem. I will remain grateful to u.

I shall wait for ur mail.

If anybody else knows anything abt this problem please share it with me.

OH MY! I just had the same problem happen to me. Same exact model TV same thing. It was great last night from 9-1am and then today when I wanted to watch Seinfeld... nothing. Tried with cable, without, playstation, dvd player. Doesn;t matter. No channels change, sound on one station (which one i can;t tell) and it turns off in 5-10 seconds all the time.

Any help would be great!

I followed the Pee Wee's suggestions and found out that same R3340 resistor is dead, i am gonna replace it with new one shortly. I hope it will make my TV work again.
I guess this is a generic proleam so if you wish u can go ahead and atleast chk condition of R3340 resistor.

I have about 55" Phillips smart tv. Model 55PFL3907/F7 SN: VM1A1213110389. I had a power outage and the tv and direct tv modem were working when the power went out. Not so much when it came back on. The TV has a pink/violet picture stuck on it which has yellow writing. Doesn't seem to be a Phillips logo just some random picture. Plus the Direct tv modem isn't working properly either. The Direct tv company is coming to check it out but I'm looking for some input in case it turns out that the problem is with the tv. Thanks for any help you can give.

Hello: I have a Magnavox floor model T.V Chasis Model# 25P1-02EE Model# RK4910AK03 Serial# 79025727 That has a 1/4" horizontal line running across the middle of the screen. There is no sound but the line appears to be red and white in color. Can some tell me what is the problem and if there is a fix for it. Thank you.
