Hi,

Model: 27PS55 S321

Chassis: 27T800-7629

My mother's TV has no picture or sound when turned on, but you can hear repetitive clicking (like a relay) and the power light is on. This happened pmce during the warranty period and Philips sent someone who replaced the whole board. Now that it isn't in warranty...it has happened again.

Any ideas? I am experienced in electronics and just need some direction to look. Any help would be appreciated since she is retired and bought this TV only 2 years ago and cannot afford a new tv or repair.

IF you are experienced in electronics, then check the horz output transistor. Symptoms indicate that it MAY be shorted.

If shorted, it loads down the power supply. This causes the power supply to go on/off.
