Turn on tv, it comes up but not with a good picture for a couple seconds then turns itself off (protection mode?). I have taken the cover off (yes I am careful and it is unplugged, thanks) taken canned air to clean off any dust then checked fuse only saw one. Everything looks ok but I am not expert. I am ok with soldering iron so if I need to replace something I can do that just need to know what to look for. Please help this tv died at 14 months of age and Magnavox refused to do anything about it. Thanks from "Watching on 13" tv" in WV. Dave

I have about 55" Phillips smart tv. Model 55PFL3907/F7 SN: VM1A1213110389. I had a power outage and the tv and direct tv modem were working when the power went out. Not so much when it came back on. The TV has a pink/violet picture stuck on it which has yellow writing. Doesn't seem to be a Phillips logo just some random picture. Plus the Direct tv modem isn't working properly either. The Direct tv company is coming to check it out but I'm looking for some input in case it turns out that the problem is with the tv. Thanks for any help you can give.

The screen on my 15 month old Magnavox model MS3252S431 (chassis L01-1UAC-7638) 32-inch TV goes blank with a clicking sound. The green power light stays on. If I power off the TV and then power on again everything is fine.... sometimes for a few hours, sometimes the problem occurs again in a minute.I change the R3340 but still same problem plus first the volume bar will appear and sometimes lower the volume by itself. then the main tv menu will appear on its own and randomly move thru the menu. the 3rd stage is it will do all of this.

Follow up. I have found some information regarding this problem. It is said that cap (#2455) is bad. Also upon further inspection I have found some resistors, diodes and a transistor that looks to have gotten pretty hot. Especially transistor # (7461), I beleive it is a transistor. It has a colector, base and an emittor (CBE) Can someone tell me what it is. The #s on the transistor are BC337 -25 :310 2 Dioodes appear to have gotten hot they are (6460) with markings DG3 and 3/6 and (6461) with RGP30J 03/6. 2 resistors that measured 148 Ohms resistance (3477) & (3478). Knowing electronic components as little as I do I think it would be reasonable to replace items that have been hot as their values and charateristics will change. If someone can help me identify these parts and suggest a place to buy them it would be appreciated.
