Intercom system

trekker

We have an old (1960 or so) intercom system that I'd like to replace while we are in the process of some remodeling.

It is handy to be able to call others from the kitchen without resorting to the fishwife technique. We don't need or want radio in the system, just the ability to communicate easily between rooms.

I'd like some recommendations, please.
