A Big Hello! I was an old timer..Back in 99. I love crafting, I've been crafting since I was a little girl.(many yrs ago..LOL) I have been a primitive crafter for about 8 yrs. I make the prim dolls and other things.

I didn't take pictures of my stuff and I already mailed it out. Ann and Andy sort of looked like the Ann and Andy sticks on this commercial page except I put my own spin on the face and clothes. My ornaments are meant to be souvenirs so I made my own newspaper with relevant words and printed it out. I used the newspaper for Andy's hat and gave Ann a shirt similar to Andy's in the picture, but with the newspaper instead. Andy got a version of Ann's shirt. I also made a Santa with a beard like the Santa stick on the site, but I used a raggedy face. I styled the hat differently and put the hanging loops on the back insead of the side. These aren't anything new as far as ornaments go. They are fairly quick and satisfying to make. I didn't think they were extremely prim, but I got negatives from the two people who saw these pictures so that's why I was asking other opinions. Hi - no that isn't it. Thanks for answering my post. Guess it just ran away, but thanks - just didn't want to snub anyone who may have tried to answer. I am glad to be back on the site again I am enjoying all the posts. I love all kinds of crafts and am in the process of making ornaments for my primitive tree this year. All felt ornaments and am just about finished. Will be glad to start on something different. tiki222

I've always struggled to figure out what "style" I liked. I tried shabby chic as well but it just wasn't right. Even though I liked the rustic and shabby portion, all that white and pink made me want to scream. I tried French country, which was much better, at least I could have my beloved blacks and reds, but it wasn't quite right either. I took all those "what style are you" quizzes and they''d always say either traditional or cottage, which I guess makes sense now. This didn't really all click until I went to a moving/estate sale that had a farmhouse table advertised. I was still trying to do the country french thing but when I got there and she took me inside to see the table (she had half the stuff out, half inside). I walked in and it was YES, I'm at home!! Maybe a little too heavy on the Americana for me but still, it all felt so cozy and comfortable. I love antiques (and boy did she have some!) but never knew how I wanted it all to feel. I bought the table and a grocery bag of stuff - knick knacky stuff and left a happy camper. I would have loved to grab a couple of cabinets and dry sinks but alas, way out of my budget. The table is so cool. It's not a table made to look farmhouse / barn style, it's actually a table from a really old farmhouse. No faux distressing, this baby has seen some hard days. I love it. Since then I've made 3 trips to the thrift store, each time spending $20 or so, and have a huge stash of cool stuff. I haven't put anything together though because I've been stripping paper and getting ready to paint. It's all piled in my garage just waiting to come inside.
