Help!! water on subflooring under window/french door.

Question for those in the know.....

We purchased a "dried in" home and are having subs complete the work. Of course, windows and exterior doors were already installed when we purchased. So... we have no idea what is under our brick.

Had 2 areas of leaking roofs a few months ago. We had those roofs completely redone by a reputable roofing company. No more leaks in the areas we previously saw wet after rain. Thought we had eliminated the water intrusion in the entire house.

A few days ago we had heavy rains and strong winds. The next day, when we went upstairs, we saw water on the sub flooring underneath one bedroom window. Its' the 2nd floor, with a 3rd floor above it.

Next to that bedroom is a small balcony with french doors going outside. There was a bit of water on the floor where the 2 french doors meet also.

So, any idea as to what the "real" culprit is with this water intrusion? So disappointing, since we are hoping to finish up and move in!!

Do we need to have the window removed, and then caulked? Check for flashing while at it? Can flashing be repaired when window is out, or would that require brick being removed around window? Or would that not even help?

The roofers said it doesn't appear they used caulking on the windows up there? There are 3 other windows exactly like this one, but only this 1 is leaking (at least only 1 that has a wet floor).

The water was very obvious. NOt just a teaspoon full, but not a gallon either.

What do we do? This is one of those times I wish we had found a GC. HOpe this isn't a "rip off all the brick" type repair. Oh gosh, please tell me there's something easier. Even replacing the roof would be preferable!!

Thanks for any advice!
