Well that would figure after I paid my money to renew this week, LOL. I'm happy about it though that way more people will contribute.

I liked it when it was unpaid. I don't mind paying either. THis format is easier to move around in than other boards.

My Husband is not interested in me but wants sex ..i feel am used only for sex. He says he loves me but from the beginning of our marriage he has no interest in me he has no topic to talk to me but i have seen him talking happily with other women as if they hadn't seen for ages. Even with his male friends he talks lot. But what he talks to me is ....did u had lunch, or had fud...he treats me like a strange.r he is interested in others but not in me. All he wants is sex. If I give him sex he stays till he gets it and after sex ask me to sleep in my room. if don't give him sex he has no time to spent with me. I feel like a real life prostitute. He never said me a truth. Eg..he is an add filim director...since marriage he said he has no contact number of any models....but his phone was full of girls phone numbers. And only a few male phone numbers. Which he claimed to be his childhood friends. I recently found out that it was of 50% to 40% models numbers. He never introduced me to any friends. And if there is any friends marriage he avoids me, saying who am i to come or that only he was called.When I ask he says its non of my business. I feel a stranger in his life. He always has explanation for what ever he does... Once i saw a lady is friend when came to our house and when my husband and she was talking she touched my husband's thighs many times.. And she sits so close that i get irritated... When I asked him why he dint react . he said that it was her culture and that I was small hearted...he says its non my business. Am an Indian woman and my culture is not that. He goes in the morning for work comes back at 8pm , 12pm .and if c he comes early he goes to see his friends. He says he hardly sees them but he sees me daily , but he sees his friends daily....!!!! We never had a honeymoon trip in our life. But he enjoys his life. Goes for long trips with friends. I feel avoided and rejected he loves watching prone and he comments on other women's sexual part . he even commented about one of my cousin sister's breast. I feel offended . what should I do am 4 months pregnant too....

when we bought our house the broker, a LIFELONG friend of the family(her daughter and i were born on the same day in the same hospital just minutes apart), highly recommended that i go with an ARM to keep my payments low. she said research showed that most folks either refi or sell within 5 years anyway, so my rate should never change. i flat out refused this because i had seen my grandmother almost lose her house back inthe early 90's to an ARM adjustment. i don't think SHE was trying to con us, i think she fell for the industry wide hype of this is what is best for MOST people. i really think that is the problem, too many people wanted to buy big and an ARM was the only way to do it. they figured the house would continue to appreciate and they could either sell or refi before the ARM hit. in many cases they were just glad to get a home and did not even realize that they had an ARM. yes, a good bit of this was predatory lending. and yes, a larger portion was simply a furtherance of the American way of life, spend money you don't have cause you can pay it back cheap(at least at first)! i feel sorry for the people who were tricked into ARMs and for people who have had life changes that made a once affordable payment no longer possible. but i do not feel sorry for people who made the largest purchase of their life based on what they pay a month RIGHT NOW, and totally ignore what they WILL pay down the road. i almost wish that the law required all potential buyers to take AND PASS a financial planner course that specifically educated them on how things can and will change on a mortgage. BTW, i never have believed in buying a "starter" home. in my region of the country you rent a home for a few years and then buy your home you plan to live out your life in. this is what my wife and i did, we rented for 6-7 years adn then bought. before buying, we did a lot of research and found we could afford more than we thought. we were pre-qualed for over 250k, but bought a 145k house because it suited our current and future needs. that 145k got us ~2400 sq ft on 4 acres. we could have bought a house in town for half that and still been in a good neighborhood, but we wanted outside city limits.

Since i'm a lover of *all* things historic, I absolutely love the house! Like nova, when visiting a city I love to walk thru the historic neighborhoods and go 'ga-ga' over the homes~my favorite place has been Wilmington, NC. The price seems a bit on the high side to me. A frind of mine who lives in the Dallas/Ft, Worth area bought a home about 6 years ago, very similiar, but BIGGER, and it was *only* $350K. They probably dropped another $200K on restoration and furniture, but that's usually an expectation if it needs updating to preserve the history. Tricia, sorry you weren't able to get the home. My dream has always been to have a 'regal lady' or even a Greek revival will do. I need to tell you a funny story:I just got back from Austin, and while there, came across an all brick, TDF, Greek revival. I told my DD, *that* was the house I wanted, would contact a real estate person, and send a letter to the owner, asking if they were interested in selling. It just so happens the home is in a small town, where they have a farmers market once a week. On my second week there, we went to the farmers market, and talked to several of the vendors, admiring their products. One of them was a lady who made soaps, lotions, etc., and also, beautiful hand-painted/home-made paper greeeting cards, made by her mother. I started looking thru them at the different pictures, and she pulled one out saying, 'this one should be in the front'. I about peed on the ground when I saw it was 'the house'! I told her I had been by the house several times, and *that* house was the house I wanted to buy, and asked if she knew the owner. When she said 'that would be me', I swear I felt the pee running down my leg!!!(sorry about being so discriptive) She gave me her card, and said I can come to look at the house anytime. By the way, she moved there two years ago from of all places, CA, and I didn't ask, but probably paid cash AND got a deal. If you've seen the movie/read the book, The Secret, I DO believe the universe told me I had to move on, and couldn't be daydreaming about a house that would never be mine. ;o) patty_cakes

Tell him this is it...no more and mean it. Tell him at 26 he's old enough to be on his own and make him realize he's got to do it. The problem is that he knows he can fail because he always has somwhere to go...an easy out of any bad situation. He's got to learn that he has to work to pay his bills and he has to learn to live by his means. It's tough but it's got to be done or you're going to have him coming and going for many years. Imagine when he gets married and has children, he'll be on your doorstep every time they get in a bind and well then you may have other people following him that you have to make room for. Make him realize he has to do it this time and let him fall on his face and loose stuff and have his utilities shut off so he learns a lesson that he should have figured out by now. Good luck.

Whoo Hoo!!! My membership was up around the middle of October and I just haven't gotten around to paying it yet. For once procrastination paid off. Like you gals said...I sure hope this forum gets to hoppin like it used to.

Hi y'all. Long time lurker... first time poster. I am so excited about being able to post. I love crafting and as a stay at home mom money can ge tight. I love everyones ideas. I remember when this used to be free years ago and there was soooo much more traffic. So I am glad to meet everyone.

This used to be the best craft site on the web. When it went to pay, it seemed to die a slow, painful death. Hopefully, now that it's free again, it will return to it's former glory.

Yeah! I used to "live" here before it was a paid site. Then I paid for a year or two but things pretty much died after it became a pay forum so I stopped paying too. I'm excited it'll get back to normal here now!

Gee, you go away for a few days and what a big change, to find
the forums free again to post on. This has been a long time
coming. Looks like I'm one of the luckier ones cause my
renewal would have been Jan.1/06 so I only loose one and a
half month of my membership fee.
Nice to see so many new people on the forum and some former
non paying members back again. Can't wait to see all the
many great new ideas that are to come.What a great Christmas
present for all of us.

Gosh I hope this means these forums will start jumping again. I was her years ago before it bvecame a paid only forum, but I never left - it was sad to see it get slower and slower - it's nice to finally be able to tahnk all of you for all you have shared thru the years...

I too used to hang out here years ago and even paid for awhile til it almost became dead but still lurked :O) I also just renewed my membership and now it's free?

Hey, I still have all the projects that I printed out from all the wonderful posts and guess what? Still haven't done them. Just love taking out my folders and looking at the pictures and planning in my head on doing this or that.

I sure did Minnie.Mine was humming birds.
It was a lot of fun.
I do'nt remember who the hostess was.
Now that I've figured out how to use my graphic program it would be so easy to do these.
You could add the text then go back and do your stamping,or embellishments.
Is Diane still here.She's a red head like myself with a son named Rory.
His name I can remember.Also a child in a wheel chair she refered to as "Hell on Wheels" LOL.

ya hooooooooooo....I can finally post again. I was a member before it became a paid site....then just continued to lurk every now and then. Glad to be able to be part of the community again. Just happened to lurk this morning and noticed the posting of "this is not going to be a paid site anymore", etc.....was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo glad I read it and now am back.

Well Yippedy Do Dah - that announcement has made my day! I too wandered away when this became a paid site, and I am really happy that it has gone back to the way it was...change is not always a good thing, despite the fact that I truly believe change is usually a great way to shake things up in one's life!

Has Oprah been here?? I'm so glad I read this thread, I stopped coming here since the board went "members only". It's so good to be back. And what a treat for me, I've been offline for about a year now, so you can imagine what hell I've been through, yep it was cold turkey for me, but not anymore!!! Woohoo!!

Hello Everybody,
I am so glad to see the posting is again free. I am working full time now so I don't get here too often, but I do remember a very, very busy forum. I just wonder if all the "Old timers" (you know the ones that use to be here but left, know it is free now ) I have kept in touch with a few I will email them, and tell them the great news. Now that I know I can post I will be trying to stop by more often. Thanks and let's get thid board moving.
