Whirlpool Dishwasher Does Only One Rinse!

I just installed a new cheap Whirlpool dishwasher (DU1055XTV) and through observation discovered that it only does one rinse on the normal cycle.

The user manual tell you next-to-nothing about the cycles or fills. Nearly useless. I managed to learn about the cycles by reading the schematic diagrams (attached inside the toe-kick and intended for service people.)

The normal cycle uses only three fills (pre-wash, wash and rinse) and only heats the main wash water to 105F! Crazy. No wonder people are complaining about these new appliances.

Fortunately you can use the "Pot and Pans" cycle for two full rinses, and turn on high temp wash (145F) and high-temp rinse (155F). Takes forever, but does a good job cleaning and rinsing.

Do all of the newer dishwashers just use one rinse by default? As caustic as dishwasher detergent is that just doesn't sit well with me.
