Lou, it's been a busy few days for me, so I've been sporadic in posting..I'm sure it's the same for most folks.

There are a few gluten free cake recipes I want to try, so maybe then is the time. :o) Most of them only make a dozen cupcakes anyway..so not to much waste if they aren't to good..

Since my sweetie is in Iraq, and I can't send him cupcakes (MUCH LESS a cocktail!), I'll make cupcakes for my daughter's class and maybe some lovely red punch.

How's that for participation?

That was the angle I was thinking too Pat..LOL But if I do one, I've got to do two Classrooms..may just make it for my favorite staff...(that's usually what I do.)

I think it sounds really cute Michelle - I'm just toying with the idea of having a small dinner party on Friday or Saturday of that week, and don't want to stretch too thin. I've done that for a couple of years and do everything with a valentine theme...

I'll keep this in mind, though! In case we don't.

I pop in for minutes here and there..all though didn't touch the computer all day Saturday..and only briefly on Sunday. Boys finally left for school 2 hours late...and hubby decided not to commute..He can drive in snow just fine..it's the other idjiots!

I'm hoping some more people will join in for the Valentine's Day Cocktails and Cupcakes Jubilee.

Lucy and I already have been baking and freezing our cupcakes for the big day. And I think Lucy is making tarts too.

I think we may have Margaritas, one of my favorite cocktails.

I've been wanting to buy the larger 6 muffin tin...this will give me the excuse to just do it!

After my last stem cell transplant, I lost the taste for alcohol...so I'll celebrate with a cup o'joe. A splash of Baileys always sounds so yummy though. Hmm, we'll see...

But I'm going to copy the ones someone(?) made and posted a while back with the dove hearts on them. Erin (my daughter) and I went to Hobby Lobby last weekend and bought chocolate sprinkles and special Valentine cupcake liners too.

Just plain old simple chocolate cupcakes with pink icing, chocolate sprinkles and those Dove hearts outta make those kids buzz around in circles for a couple of hours!

I'll be the heckler on the sidelines for this event, I'm afraid! LOL

I don't like cake/cupcakes so all I would have would be cocktails and you know how I get after a few of those! LOL
(Well, Nancy does....(smooch!)...heehee)

I'm going to have to opt out of the actual event - we are having 2 families over for a valentine dinner next Saturday and I'll most likely be preparing for that.

Sorry, but this won't work for me either. It's DMIL's true birthday and she doesn't drink and I don't think she'd be thrilled with a cupcake either. Maybe, but she's not a big sweet eater. Heck, maybe that's why she's gotten to her ripe old age with more energy than me! LOL!
