I wish I knew more about how the combi oven works, but some on this forum have mentioned the concept of "dry steam" that allows for browning. This is very different from wet steam. It would be nice if you knew exactly what was going on in these cycles and could adjust it a little. A preset button may not be optimal for your recipe or the size or thickness of the pizza. Some might like the top brown that that setting provides while you do not. As to perforated cookware-the holes may actually cause sogginess. The holes allow steam to escape which would seem to keep what you are baking from getting soggy but cools those areas. Somewhere I saw a pie baked in one of these pans and the parts over the holes cooked less than the other parts. I think America's test kitchens did a piece on this. It is probably more of a learning curve on this appliance because there probably is more to it than the concept of wet steam that we usually think of. At the very least you have the interaction of steam and convection which is different from most other ovens. You seem like you need a little more heat from the bottom of the oven. The trick would be how to get it from that oven. Maybe an auto baking mode would be better. The bottom rack is good only if the heat is coming from the bottom. If it is coming from somewhere else, that won't help. Maybe Wolf can tell you what cycles have heat more from the bottom, so you can make your own recipe setting.

Hello, I greatly appreciate all the posts above and have read and believe tried every one of them in an attempt to resolve my issue.. My situation is the same as many of you. My 6 year old Wolf LP gas stove starting having one burner constantly click after being turned off. This started shortly after a spill over occurring with the SO. She cleaned the burner and I cooked on it once or twice after wards and then it started. I would cook, then turn it off and it would constantly click, or until the burner switch was turned on again. Right now the only way to stop the clicking is to turn off the GFI or the breaker. I have checked the LP tank and its about half full. I have swapped out the ignitors from one burner to another, and the burners and covers. All 6 burners are working on regular use and on simmer including the one burner that is constantly clicking. After pulling all the 4 burners up where the faulty burner is, removing the drip pan, I switched out the blue electrical boxes under the pan between the faulty burner and another burner. Putting it all back together, the issue is still the same and burner clicks even though the knob is clearly in the off setting. I also checked the simple things like knobs and am handy on most things but this has got me stumped. Any solutions that worked for all of you besides calling in a repairmen are greatly appreciated in advance.

My WF218 that I did the original testing on is still going strong (just did three loads on this fine Saturday afternoon). My routine has adapted as follows: -Tankless hot water heater set to 140F. One of the benefits of tankless is no wasted energy on standby losses with higher setting. I don't run higher for risk of scalding my toddler in the tub or shower. -I don't have a laundry sink, but just noting that if I had one, like Todd above I would prime the hot water to get the standing cold water out of the pipes. I do this for my kitchen dishwasher, which is quite far from the water heater. -I have the cold water shutoff throttled down. It seems like the Samsung's still pull some from the cold water supply when you are filling for warm or hot. Not sure if this really helps, but I do feel like throttling it down nets more from the hot supply. Like someone mentioned you can't shut off cold completely, plus you need it for the rinses anyway. -I try to wash in larger loads, as the larger loads fill more water, and thus the cold standing water in the pipes becomes diluted with more hot water. -Lastly, since we don't wash towels separately, my wife doesn't use the Towels mode, and so when I do the laundry, I've basically taken over Towels mode as my full Manual mode. It has full access to all temps and settings, and will remember my last used settings, which I'll run 80% of the time in H/C, to net about a 120F wash for most laundry including colors. A 130F or 140F option would definitely be nice, but I've been OK with the 120F washes.

My experience: like the above comments from Christine Abuharoon and Michael Green (11 months ago, from 11/28/23) regarding the oven door not fully closing. I purchased a model KRG365-NG. (A 36 Inch Freestanding Professional Gas Range with 4 Dual-Flow Burner System, 5.8 Cu. Ft. Capacity.) Installation date: April 2022. The oven door has been causing issues since nearly the first time it was used. Some of the knobs at the top become extremely hot to the touch (enough that one requires oven mitts to adjust certain knobs while in operation if one isn't excited about a trip to the local ER). Unfortunately, Hestan's service repair technician has attempted to adjust the door but it seems to get misaligned and needs adjustment shortly after or he hasn't actually fixed the problem. (The repair technician: he's really nice, polite, respectful, and sympathetic -- we're on a first-name level of familiarity at this point, nearly on the verge of sharing a beer every second Tuesday!) Regarding warranty service issues: Hestan hasn't been responsive in timely communications (weeks of being ignored or pat emails saying "your request has been transferred to the right dept blah blah" and then crickets...) or been honest regarding honoring their warranty coverage for malfunctioning systems. I have had multiple service requests to fix the oven after it stopped working, always sometime after the oven is used on high heat for several hours. (SHOCK! It's an oven, Watson. How dumb of me to expect it to operate on high.) To put it starkly: That's a non-working oven, folks, for a household that cooks a whole bunch for extended family and friends and hosts on the weekends. Significant levels of creativity and a whole lotta flexibility/patience are required to substitute on-range cooking for oven roasting. The most recent exciting saga has been extended to a 6-week special (grab your popcorn, folks. This one has sequels!) Hestan didn't bother responding to a detailed letter sent to their warranty dept. in October of 2023. Nor to a follow-up letter 2 weeks after it. (This is the third or fourth time, the oven has had the same issue amongst others.) (Another tantalizing exclusive: In the San Francisco Bay Area, home to a population of over 7.5 million humans there is a dearth of authorized service technicians. It takes time for them to be available for repairs; anywhere between two to four weeks. Then when a part needs to be ordered -- many times being a requirement -- add another several weeks to your broken-cooking-appliance-saga aka. buddhist-exercise-in-patience.) My household's experience with Hestan has left us with a bad taste for the company. (And we are really good cooks.) We would not recommend their appliances to others - based on their awesome lack of responsiveness to malfunctioning parts coupled with their lack of honoring warranty assurances (by replacing or exchanging the model) in situations where several service repair visits have occurred -- with no lasting fix. I wish I had known that the ability to endure and practice stoicism is a requirement when purchasing from HESTAN. (Apparently, some products have quality issues -- that's to be expected. What isn't expected is not honoring their part of the warranty agreement. It's a lack of integrity and feels like betrayal. Scheduling repeated service repair visits, [no fault to the repair dudes] I'm assuming, is a deliberate business decision to string along disgruntled consumers until the consumer gets exhausted of keeping up with the whole saga, they get deported, immigrate to Finland, convert to outdoor bonfire cooking, lose their memory, and drag on the non-response company policy till the pesky issue of a valid warranty expires. [pun intended.] Case closed.) Bears repeating: Our model had issues with the oven (whether heating up properly or heating up at all) since a few short weeks after it was first installed by a licensed electrician. As well, the oven door has issues closing fully so as to be flush against the oven cavity interior - to prevent escaping air, uneven baking temperatures, and hot, Hot, HOT, range/ oven control knobs. The gas range, contrastingly, has always worked well, except for one burner whose simmer function has stopped working. I am filing a complaint with the BBB. (I wish I had read their reviews, and had read this thread before choosing this company. It does place the company in an unflattering light). I wonder if the company will magically become more attentive. Also looking at arbitration alternatives (warranty states either JAMS or the American Arbitration Association.) If anyone has gone the arbitration route, please share your experience. I am posting on this most useful thread for other consumers to let them (you) know that if one is dealt a bad hand with an appliance from Hestan, good luck with the fulfillment of the warranty promise. Or with timely service visits. (Easily over a month until the issue is addressed.) If you want to play roll the dice with your appliances worth between $7, ooo - $12,000 plus installation costs, plus purchase of a (useless?) extended warranty, go ahead: Sprint, don't shuffle, to your nearest HESTAN authorized seller.
