Oversalted the ground turkey

I was browning ground turkey with some onions to make a stuffed acorn squash recipe, and somehow I really oversalted the turkey mixture. I don't want to eat it that way.

I was thinking of rinsing the cooked meat and onions in a collander to get some of the salt out and then using it in a spagetti sauce. But I'm open to any other ideas.
