Brown Turkey in ground...

I was thinking about digging my fig up since it has been inground for 3 years and I've received about 3 figs from it. I wrap it in the winter to keep it alive and too my shock it stays alive during our COLD northern Tennessee winters. But it's not growing and have very few figs. I'm thinking about digging it up and potting it...is it too late to pot it? Any suggestions...I love figs and want to be figgy successful!
