I thought I'd ask about this since activity has been fairly recent....and I couldn't find much else about the issue. I have a problem with mulch floating away at the bottom edge of my landscaping. With rain, I get 2" of water in my yard, no matter how long it rains. But it drains very quickly. The property has alot of clay, with about 2" of soil over it. I have established shrubs in my landscaping. The house is on a slab, so I am limited in raising the bed (but that's not the problem). The prior owner used pinestraw and used a trimmer to cut a trench to provide the transition/edging. It's the outer edge of mulch that slips into the trench and floats and piles up at the end. A gallon or so end up in the yard to get thrown around by the mower. I want to maintain a simple transition from the mulch to the grass. I don't want landscape timbers. I don't want the bright green metal edging like one landscaper wanted to use. Pros around here are no help..."use pinestraw". It seems like they don't have any other solution. This spray stuff seems like exactly what I need to go around the outer edge of my beds. I'm considering retaining wall blocks 1-level high as a last resort. I'm trying to keep a clean look, so just about any physical retaining will muddy that. Any suggestions? I'll post back on this stuff if I try it out.

TYhat's great Glenda. It's 59° outside right now and I haven't even been out there yet except to feed the birds early this morning. After I pick Anna up from my mom's we are going shopping for a few personal items for her, then we are going to stop by my ex husban's and his wife's house to look through some old photos. When we get home from there I am going to change clothes then go out front and cut down a vine I decided I don't want. Linda

I agree, Rene Fleming was the highlight of the show. She sang the National Anthem so beautifully. I was disappointed about the commercials during the game but the ones right after the end of the game were quite good. From what I understood, those that chose to air their ads right after the game ended saved $1.5 millions. As I mentioned a few days ago, my sister lives in Seattle and my brother lives in Denver. After the 1st quarter, the rest of our family agreed to cheer for Seattle. We figured, the one that has a high income will be proudly sending us Championship shirts. That would be my sister and not my brother. Even my brother told my lil' sister that her team should win so he too can get a championship shirt for free, LOL...

Hello All.........can't believe the week is half over already! The sun actually came out yesterday and we all ran and hid. But we are back to the normal overcast and drizzle. Even my birds friends have taken shelter. Anj.....did you get the science project finished? I hated science but love to do the projects, guess it was working with my hand rather than my brain. Luvs.....I love to read! And when I pick up a book I usually finish it before I do anything else...shame on me! Maybe that is why I now do so many audio books. But there isn't many things a satisfying as curling up with a soft blanked and a good book. Yesterday was the "sisters" luncheon. The "sisters" are all of my DH sisters plus the wives of the brothers. We meet once a month for lunch and always at a different place. The newest place was a local casino, the food and conversation was really great and I didn't loose anything gambling, of course I didn't play either. This time all of the hubby's were there except for mine, he was sitting home waiting for the new washer and dryer to arrive. Wasn't really planning on that purchase for another 6 months. Our DS went into HomeDepot, looking for a set, when he got there they couldn't get the set they were listing on a special sale, so they upgraded the set to the $899.00 washer for $499., and the same with the dryer, so he called us...just tooooo good to pass up and they have so many bells and whistles I don't know which button to turn or push.
