Ham Hocks

My MIL has sent us a box of meat from one of those hideously overpriced mail order meat companies. The ham steaks and bacon were duly consumed-quite good, actually. However, now I have 2 pounds of "cob smoked ham hocks, ends and pieces" which look lovely and meaty (and are pretty darn big for "ends and pieces")that I'm not sure what to do with. About the only thing I've ever done with ham hocks is flavor beans or pea soup. At what these probably cost her, I'd like to do something more with them than that.

Favorite ham hock recipes anyone?
