Kenmore Elite double oven - between glass cleaning
Comments (0)The gravy was spilled from the top oven and infiltrated in between the glass of the bottom oven door. Does anyone know how I can clean? Do I remove the door and unscrew the sealed glass door? Thanks for any help....See MoreCleaning oven door glass
Comments (4)My oven door has been bothering me for years. While there were subtle little differences in the door assembly you guidance was right on the mark. For the stubborn baked on stains in-between the glass I used a straight edge razor blade as if scraping off the burned on sugars on the stove top. _____________________________ Power Mower Sales husqvarna trimmer heads This post was edited by andreiwright on Tue, Jul 1, 14 at 5:35...See MoreViking Range--How to Clean Between Glass Panels on Oven Door
Comments (4)Not familiar with a Viking oven door but on most mass produced thin stainless steel residential ranges the outside of the door is kept rigid by being under tension and requires a selection of soft clamps and a suitably prepared work area for proper disassembly and reassembly that won't cause the metal panel to bend at the attaching points. Try to dig up more information. Try to find a parts diagram. If the door is quite heavy on its own with lots of bolts holding it together it may not be too difficult. But if it feels fairly light in weight, opening it up it may be like triggering a mousetrap....See Moredust between glass in oven doors!!
Comments (3)I called my appliance dealer who happened to be on hold with Electrolux when he took my call. He said he would add my issue to his phone conversation. He called me back and said that Electrolux would replace the door! No fight, no verification by anyone, just my word. Sorry that their level of responsiveness has not been the same for some of the Electrolux Fridge owners....have followed their blogs and I am sooooo happy I didn't go with the fridge too. Let's hope the new one doesn't have the same issue! Thanks for your advice....See Moreweissman
