Issues with LP-)NG conversion?

An appliance store just sold me a wolf NG range. Upon further inspection, I discovered it was originally an LP range converted to NG. What bugged me about this purchase was that I felt mislead into believing I bought an original NG unit, but instead I got an LP range that was converted.

I noticed the flex line to the burners look really thin, like it cannot handle the BTU consumption of the burners.

Will a LP->NG range have less BTU at the burner than an original NG range?

Should I just accept the range as is?

I think I'd call Wolf customer service. They have been really good when I have had questions.

Thanks. I called Wolf tech support and apparently it is same and should not affect BTU performance.

I am planning on getting the Virco and the costco conversion kit. Will I need anything else to buy to get this to work in NG. We bought a new house and it has NG valve outside already but will I need to buy a quick disconnect hose or does that come with the kit. We are putting the grill very close to the outlet so only about 3-4 feet of hose is needed. If I do need to buy one, who has the best price on a quick disconnect hose?

This video will show you how to replace a burner orifice. Sorry, I haven't ever had to replace the oven stuff. Did the kit just consist of a bunch of orifices like the one I show in the video linked above? Or are there also replacement gas valves? aabny, if you do not mind, I would appreciate it if you would post a note in this thread when you do the swap. What I would like to know is what number is stamped on the replacement orifices that go on the 22k RNB, the 15K NB, and the 8K simmer burner. I know what size the natural gas ones should be, but I would like to know what sizes the LP version uses for each burner. The drill size or "gauge" of each orifice is stamped in the brass. It should be easy to spot. Thanks!

Looking at the Thermador Planning Guide, there is neither an LP nor a NG conversion kit for any of the Pro Grand ranges. Pro Harmony Dual Fuel have an LP conversion kit, but the all-gas ones do not (nor is there a natural gas conversion kit.) You will need to contact Thermador support to find out what nozzles and regulator will be needed. It's more than 6 easily-accessible nozzles, too, because you have to convert the oven burners as well in your all-gas range. Plus the griddle or grill, depending on what that additional location is. Once you start getting into the regulator and manifold on a gas appliance, you would be wise to have a gas-certified technician do the work.

When I changed my grill (a high-end model) from NG to propane, it was simply a matter of changing the venturi ports to a different size. And adjusting the simmer flame size.

depends on the maker - I think that wolf's stuff is the same.

Heck no, unless you received a discount for their screwup. Would you accept a new car in black that started life as a red one?

Totally with antss on that one -- you paid for a new, NG range -- not someone's screwup.

In my opinion, the dealer should be jumping through hoops to resolve this for you with a new range delivered and installed, within 10 days (at worst -- you can get one shipped from coast to coast in that time), at no cost to you.

"I felt mislead" -- you were -- this is called "deceptive sales practices" by many. If they hesitate at all, a call to Wolf, then the BBB and your credit card company if it needs further escalation.
