Tracking and Cookies

I hope someone can shed some light on a couple situations.

First situation is where a follower on my blog asked me to visit her blog....I did and bookmarked it. I later found that she was quite agressive and a nuisance. So I changed my URL on blogspot hoping she wouldn't find me at the new URL. She did! A friend said if I was in her blog after I changed my URL she likely has a tracking device installed on her blog and tracked me down to the new URL.

Is that what likely happend? I since deleted my blog and did not create a new one. Also, I deleted her blog from my favorites and refuse to visit there again.

Second situation is similar but on a forum. I posted in in a ladies forum for quite some time, invited her (the host of the forum) to my blog. She visited and then a couple months later my problem as mentioned above happened. I hadn't gotten around to give this host the new URL to my blog. She later showed up there....how could she have gotten my new URL unless she has a tracking device on her forum...it's a website with many many forums hosted by various people so I don't see how individually she could put a device on her forum. What other way would she have found me at my new URL? I feel like unsubscribing to that forum entirely so I can have some peace in all this.

I since opened up another blog on a completely different website than blogspot but I wonder if I go back into this lady's forum, she may track me there again.

Help! I don't know much about this ins and outs of tracking people and how to protect myself.

I have since gone and deleted all my temp internet files, cookies, and history. I then ran another program to find 3 tracking cookies that were NOT in the cookies folder??? I'm really beginning to dislike being on-line.

Thank you to anyone that can offer advice and give me piece of mind.
