windows photo gallery won"t recognize sandisk

I have a desktop,running Vista.I always plug my media card in to transfer my photos to windows photo gallery.I plugged card in today & was viewing photos. My Kaspersky went off & I stopped what I was doing with photos & ran scan.Some nasties were found & removed.But when I went back to my photos the card was no longer recognized.Wonder what happened?

Some nasties were found & removed.

What exactly was removed?

File name and file path location to the file

For instance:
(MyPCBackup.com) C:\Program Files\MyPC Backup\MyPC Backup.exe ---Filepath.

Hi Zep,I can't figure out how to get the Kaspersky report.I also scanned with Malwarebytes & it picked up some stuff Kaspersky missed.
Here is partial log.

It says no action taken but I did as recommended.These were all highlighted in blue as threats.

I tried other sandisks & none work.

mike_kaiser And genes, Thank you so very much for responding. Sorry about my delay with a response but I was waiting for my actual laptop to get back. Was on another computer yesterday while my son had my laptop for work (he dropped his) but wanted the actual laptop with the problem in case there was someting else suggested here to try. I went to the product page as you suggested, mike_kaiser, but the driver listed is exactly the same one that is listed in my Device Manager so I didn't bother with that. No exclamations on any of the things in device manager---I even clicked each one to open each one all the way to see what was inside each main title. Yes, I rebooted several times. I even raised my virtual memory because I had received a message that it was too low while I was scrolling around Ebay. I rebooted after raising the virtual memory but still the little slot won't acknowledge the SD card. The little light on the slot does flicker. I guess that means it's working? genes, No, I haven't tried another SD card. But yesterday my neighbor took my SD card and loaded the photos on her computer. She said she is coming over today with a little mini flash drive (?) that I can stick in my laptop and download the photos to this laptop that way. This means the SD card itself isn't broken, right? NewDawn, I hadn't thought of that in years! But I do remember now that the trading ships were bringing back many beautiful pieces from China at that time. William Morris produced some beautiful Asian-influenced wallpaper around that then, too. As I recall from my design studies (way back when), it was very popular. Joann, thanks! Yes, he's a sweet boy that will surely look good wherever he ends up in here. Nicole: (LOL!) I went right out to check which direction the fish was facing . . . towards the French doors that open into our family room in the middle of our home, so I'm thinking that's a safe bet. I wouldn't go so far as to say I recognized myself, but at the time I read Anne Tyler's novel, Back When We Were Grownups, I certainly did share a lot of feelings and attitudes with the main character, Rebecca Davitch. Plug the device into your computer, pull down the notification shade, and select the “USB” option. You could of just cleared out the downloads folder too, because that was the file path, and that's where all the ad ware was.

Nothing there serious, and nothing there to cause a sandisk issue.

Is that a San Disk Cruzer ?

Will any flash drive work ?

If you have not, reboot the computer, and try SanDisk again.

Zep,Sanddisk cruzer & any media cards will not work.When I plugged the cruzer in, my computer recognized it with the little boop boop noise& Kaspersky asked if I wanted to scan it but that is all.

OK.

It was working before, so lets do a system restore to see if that fixes it. Remember you can always undo a system restore if it does not fix it.

Do you know how to do a System Restore? If not here's a guide.

Do the restore, then try it again.

You're welcome Rose.

System restore and safe mode with networking are favorites of mine. When something worked yesterday, and for some reason does not work today, always revert to system restore first and chances are it will fix it.
