Deleting User Account

During a session with a Microsoft Service Tech, she created a new user account named "Administrator" and gave it administrator rights. Now that she is through with it, how do I delete this user account. I am running Windows 7 Home Premimum edition OS.

Start > Control Panal > User Accounts > Parental Controls... which is at the left lower corner of that page. Accessing the Parental Controls site should give you the options you seek. Anne

The programs were probably installed with the option "only for this user" or they may have been installed when only one user was there. I think you can log in as a user with administrator access and copy folders from C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Start Menu\Programs to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs and they'll show up for everybody (change Username to the first user's username). If that doesn't work, copy them to the individual user accounts in Start Menu\Programs.

I did what you said,the only glitch was that there was nothing in my recycle bin when I went to empty it. Is that OK. Here is the new log. Found it!!!! How do I delete my account? You can begin your account deletion through your account settings as follows: Go to “Your Houzz,” then click “Edit Profile and Settings.” On the left sidebar, click “Privacy Settings” From the “Privacy Settings” page, begin the deletion of your Houzz account by selecting the reason you wish to delete your account and personal data, confirming your request by clicking the red “Delete My Account” button. As a final security measure, you will receive an email confirming your request at the email address that is registered to your account. You must confirm your deletion request through that email to continue processing your account deletion. Once you have confirmed your request, your account will no longer be accessible and you will no longer receive Houzz emails. This is a permanent change that can not be reversed so you will no longer have access to any business records, ideabooks or other content saved on Houzz. Last updated September 30, 2021

Wonder why the Tech created an account:

Similar to Windows Vista, Windows 7 also has a built-in administrator account which is created when it is installed and it is disabled by default. This account can be enabled if you need to work as administrator without having UAC.( User Account Control) It is advisable not to enable the administrator account unless you are fixing some issue and need admin account. You can enable the administrator account by a simple command.

Perhaps he had to move things from one user account to another user account. And he didnt wanted to see all account folders at the same time without disturbing the user settings.

Occasionally I hit a reason where I need to activate the hidden Administrator account. It can handy at times.

Or he was doing repetitive stuff and didnt want to keep maually poking the approve uac buttons.
