help! Virus that blocks ALL anti-virus

I have the most awful virus as it block ALL anti-virus programs whether they be freeware or a $50 version of the latest Mcafee. I just dont know what to do ive tried so many things and cant get rid of it. The virus even prevents me from going to websites that provide anti-virus protection!! That is just the primary infection though, due to the lack of anti-virus many secondary infections are starting to arise. Any advice on what i might be able to do or try would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou..... i think my computer has the eqivalent to HIV.

At this stage you might not be 100% certain that what you have is a virus or a software problem (corrupted files, missing drivers, etc. I'm sure there are folks here who might be able to walk you through the problem (wish I were one of them but I'm not)but they will need much more info. Good luck!

Would probably help if you tell the name of the virus and if you are using windows 95 or 3.1 ?

Yea, it is a subscription service. You can use the one subscription on three computers. I use it here on xp and it seldom requires any attention. It just does its own things silently in the background. Every now and then you will see a bubble saying its up to date. Updates itself automatically and frequently.

It is extremely unfortunate that we have lost one of the best long time security help forums on the net, CastleCops. Much good information is now lost. I was a member there for many many years and am sad to see it gone. Other good forums with many of those members are now available which is good news. Paul and Robin did an excellent job with CastleCops, I wish them well and will miss that place. Another very good "list" site I often recommend is Gizmo's site. If your anti virus is up to date and running perhaps you do not have a virus but perhaps a Trojan. Windows Live Onecare is a for fee program so presumably fully automatic. What safety programs are you running bsides the anti virus? You might try a couple of online free scans to see what they find. Here are 2, there are many others equally as good. BitDefender eTrust Both require IE not Firefox to run

AVG free will generally load on an infected machine, run it then go try trend-micro house call. If these don't work go to bleepingcomputers.com and post a high jack this log, They have tutorials on there of what to do and how to post.

Try this clamwin AV program it is standalone. I would run it in safe mode with networking and do a full scan. Press F8 when booting the PC you will get a startup menu select safe mode with networking. Then download this and run it. Are you getting any popup ads on your PC? If you are you may have some malware on the PC and usually is harder to remove...

The clamwin program did find some trojans but doesnt seem to have the capability to delete the infected files. by the way i am using windows XP home edition. I dont have the exact name of the virus but the the scan read as:
