Yup thats Los Angeles, palm trees and snow!

Great photo Lars. We are surrounded by mountains and I love clear winter days when the mountains are dusted with snow but there is none on the ground here in the valley.

Lars, that picture is a treat to see! As you know we don't have moutains or many hills to speak of. Nice to see the snow on the mountains in LA. Thanks!

Heres another picture, taken the same day with a bit of zoom. The snow lasted two mornings and then was gone.

Lars

Very pretty while it was there Lars.
Love the relief with the angle of the shadows showing the contrast.

Our snow seems to be gone as well today.
Hopefully more will come later as we need it to top up the water supply.

What is a beautiful scene. That's the way I like snow -- far away.

Snow is very rare on those particular mountains, and they are sufficiently far away. I like having the view of them from my front door, however. The snow on Big Bear stays much longer, but the mountains there are over 10,000 feet. I can see those if I drive toward downtown or from Ladera Heights, not far from my house.

It's supposed to be in the 70s for the rest of the week here, but I will be in Austin, where it will probably be 15° colder.

We've been getting a lot of rain lately, and so I think our drought may be over this season. We've been rationed water, meaning that we can run sprinklers only on Mondays and Thursdays. That's enough to keep my yard green, however.

Just seeing this now -- gorgeous photos!

How lucky you are to have a view like that Lars!

Beverly

That's beautiful, Lars, I just got over here to see it.
