Received my box from Vina yesterday and it was packed with a rainbow of flower seeds. Vina grouped them each in a color grouping to make a rainbow. Seeds to numerous to list but fantastic selections. She also included a mini shovel which will work great with transplanting seedlings and a frog that hangs on a planter. She also included a very nice rainbow poem. Thank you Vina for the great package. Was busy in the garden today. It was not an expected project because I didn't think the weather was going to be good for it. I started weeding and mulching the garden next to our garage. I usually start in the front of the house and this garden is the last one I get to so I decided to start there this year. I have a rough time with it because the soil isn't very good. After five years, it is finally starting to flourish so after weeding and mulching, it looks pretty good. I still have the roughest part to do. I let it go last year and a weed took over. It could be an invasive flower for all I know since I am always planting new things. I like the little white flower but hate the plant so have to pull it all out. It really hangs on when pulled. Will start back on it tomorrow. Margo

Hi Deb, Here are some more of the easy and inexpensive gag type gifts, although they aren't really gag gifts, because they are usable. What I would do as far as the kids go, is go to your dollar or craft or even department store and get those cello treat bags with Christmas designs on them. Put the candy in that and staple the bag topper with the poem and graphic on that. If you don't want to use staples, just tie the bag with ribbon, and punch a hole in the corner of the bag topper and have the ribbon loop through it. With adults, I then put the bag into a mug or other desirable container they may need or like. With a man, you could even put it into a thermos. With kids, you can leave just in the bag, or use one of those .59 cent plastic Christmas cups at drug stores and such. Enjoy! Here is one that I had saved a while back. Don't know who wrote it so I can't give credit where credit is due. Easter Bunny Soup Anyone can have easter eggs Or ice cream that you scoop. But because you are very special, I am sending you this Bunny Soup. Take the packet of chocolate "broth" Add hot water and marshmallows too. Then stir it up with a peppermint stick. It's a treat from the Easter Bunny, just for you.

Well....it's still simmering on the stove.... Pretty much traditional....guess I was lacking a clean "wing it" plan... Turkey carcass....water to cover....boil until all falls apart....strain ( saving the broth, of course....if you once pour your broth down the drain you will ever more be very mindful!!) Added celery....about 6 stalks plus the leaves....3 medium onions....then I had to go to the store....because I picked up a package of carrots the day before.....found a friend....got to chatting and apparently got out the door with out the carrots!....so I added about 5 carrots cut into match sticks. Added about 3/4 cup of the stuffing and the meat left on the bones....and about a cup of gravy....bay leaf....lots of parsley, lots of FGBP....and a few grinds of schezwan pepper.... And salt...and about 1/2 cup fo wild rice. Seemed like it needed something....so I added the juice of a key lime....and I think that was key!... The rice is about done....and I think I will add some canned jalapenos....and have a bowl and put the rest in the frig! Linda C
