My wireless mouse does not work but has a good battery.It's a microsoft mouse. I know it's not the computer because another mouse works fine on it.

You forgot to say what version of windows you have.

Might try moving the Usb tranceiver in a different usb port ?

Microsoft has that 'Mouse and Keyboard Center or maybe its called Keyboard & Mouse Center.. You might uninstall that ? Then after a restart run the windows update.

Microsoft for my wireless mouse were happy to replace it if I sent them a proof of purchase... which I had in my email as I had ordered it online. Very quickly simply shipped me a whole new mouse in some default Microsoft's choice color next day air.

My Logitech's left click stopped working after 2 yrs. i lifted the top metal with my fingernail by 1/8inch and blew in it. Tiny dust bunny. Works again.

Thanks guys! I'm relieved to hear that BME grows faster than I thought and a bit dismayed that Mighty grows so slow. These two little guys were expensive and are so tiny. We are planning on moving from UT to Florida in two years and if these guys grow that slow I might just take them with me as I've really been wanting these two for a long time and I would hate to start from scratch. I plan on leaving them in the ground even though we do not have any squirrels in our yard. Only problem we have are racoons and they don't seem to bother our plants (just our ducks). Is there a particular reason why you would need to pot them up? I don't mind having it in the ground due to it's size as I can just plant some annuals around it. They are both planted in front of my hydrangeas and they tend to steal the show anyways.

Some people will be able to grow Holy Mouse Ears and others will have trouble. Growing in a pot might be easier as the pH and moisture levels tend to be better and you can feed it as needed. I've had a bunch of Holy Mouse Ears that I purchased shortly after they were released in tissue culture years ago and I've never put them in our catalog because they were never a strong grower for me. Several eyes have reverted back to BME so I remove those as I see them. I can't really recommend it for everyone but it can be pretty and is worth a try so long as you don't have the greatest expectations.

Mrs. S, in the photo the critter doesn't look very furry, maybe because of the shadows or light. They aren't "hairy", more slick, and seem a bit striped. I checked out Voles and the ears are more the same - cubby, but the fur/hair is all wrong. I now wonder if this was a critter that got brought here from an even warmer climate, either on purpose or by accident. This winter would have been hard for someone with not much fur to protect them. I hope they had a warm den for this winter. And, not much to eat either. I usually have veggies planted in February, and fruiting plants that survive our usually mild winters. Not this year. I am just now planting out the seedlings that have grown too large with all the waiting. I keep saying 'they', but maybe there was only one that lived a few years, and that's all I saw. I'll keep watching to see if he/she reappears. I hope so.

Update: I set two traps last night with dark chocolate jammed into the bait holder, and one with a piece of peanut baited the same way. The peanut caught a mouse, but the chocolate baits appear to be untouched. Maybe my 85% cocoa chocolate isn't sweet enough for them. I'll try setting a trap with 72% cocoa chocolate tonight. And two with peanuts. Thanks again, Lars! Yeonassky, I'm still smiling. I was born and raised and beyond in NYC, but I've lived in this farmhouse for 48 years. In that time I must have become a certified country person because when I dispose of a mouse I don disposable gloves (just one pair), go outside, lift the bar to release the mouse from the trap, pick the mouse up from the ground by its tail, and toss it into the woods. I'm frugal, so this way I avoid the expense of the heavy-duty apron, shower cap, etc. Plus it's quick. :-)

I'd enjoy hearing how mikie thinks the version of Windows matters. I don't think it matters at all.

What part of the mouse isn't working?

I think version information is a great habit for everyone to share in a post. Sometimes it's necessary while sometimes it's not. It channels thinking, and saves time if/when it is needed. It sure can't hurt anything.
