Changed a Setting and Can't Login

In my brilliance, trying to disable the need to login on a computer that came from my sister's estate, I disabled an administrator setting, I think, and now, can't login on her Windows XP Professional. Any ideas on how I might gain access to it, or should I take it to someone who knows?

Lost password, Change Password or Delete Password on XP User Accounts with Admin or limited Privileges.
This procedure only works if you can enter safe mode thru the hidden Admin Account
1-Boot to Safe Mode by tapping the F8 key while booting
2-Choose safe mode, Press Enter
3-Select operating system, Press Enter
4-Click Administrator Account
5-Windows is running in Safe Mode, Click YES
6-At the Safe Mode Desktop, click, Start, Control Panel
7-Double click User Accounts, Here you can delete accounts, delete/change passwords ETC.
8-When done Close all Windows
9-Restart Computer

Besides those mentioned in the post above, some other known issues: Some of the links to login are not working properly and will cause a page error when you try to sign in. You've cleaned out your internet files, your temporary files, cleared history, and cookies and then changed your addy? Then reboot and when you come back you will have to log in. Sue

Well, a little knowledge is a dangerous thing. Yes, I had eliminated the need for a password.
When I went in to do as you wrote, cboy, I was first faced with the choice of 3 hard drives; then, multiple choices for opening in Safe Mode, but not Administrator Account. I chose one. The computer opened, but the mouse wouldn't work. I turned off the power and started again. This time, I wasn't quick enough and the Login page came up. The mouse wasn't working. Rather than reach for the power switch, I kept entering Enter, and the computer opened into Windows normally. Yes, I had disabled the need to supply a password. I just needed to hit Enter twice. Amazing the things one once knew, but forgot. I rebooted, and everthing is working normally. (A deep, bemused sigh)

PLEASE! Do not share the link I sent to you by e-mail. I sent it thinking that it WAS a password issue. Glad you got it working.

Now that you are in you can eliminate the password.
Click Start
Click Run
Type "control userpasswords2" without quotes
Hit OK or Enter
In the new screen click to remove the checkmark where it says users must enter a password.
