help needed in resizing pictures

I am writing a brief update for a Christmas note and want to put a variety of pictures. I have them in a folder, but need to shrink them for the letter. Any help would be appreciated.

I use Easy Thumbnails.

I use "IrfanView". (Free download and recommended at some point by PC Mag, etc.)

I like to rename the pics that I shrink so that can retain the original file. I "save as", then arrow key (to "unhighlight" the filename), and insert "sm" to it, which means "small" to me. Just a thought.

Go to your pictures (graphics or signatures) in your computer, Right click onto a picture, a box will open, left click "Edit", A big box will open with your picture showing, In the top bar, click "Image", Then click "Stretch", Another box will open and you can change the sizes there. I only change the top two sizes. And I am using 50 in both (There are two more, but I leave them alone). This cuts the photo by half. Just keep playing around with the size till you get what you want, Then click "OK", The new size will now appear, Click "Files" in the top left hand side, Click "Save as", You now have a new small size picture. You can delete the larger size if you wish.

Nonnie...I don't have Adobe PhotoDeluxe 2.0, so don't know how your program operates. I do have Adobe photoshop 7.0 and for me to resize my photos, I go to the top where it says images...I click on it and a box opens up that let's me change the size..That's the best I can tell you. Sorry. Bev

Are you "typing" up a letter to print out? Or is this an email type of letter?

If you are using Word, or something similar to make a letter that you are printing, - insert the picture, then click on it so the little boxes show up around it. Then put your mouse over a corner - click & drag your picture in to resize it as you desire. Make sure you drag only a corner.

I also use Ifranview and I also use the "sm" to remember that I have the original photo also.
