Why can't I get onto that website

Good Morning!

Something happens to me alot and I'd love to know why. The example that just happened is that I'm reading an article online that was in my local paper today. I copy the entire address of the webpage from the address bar and then paste it into both IE and Firefox and I get "No results found for" and they state the website.

This even happens sometimes when I get an email from a business that says to follow this link and it too gives me that message.

Is it something on my computer that I don't have enabled?

I have Windows XP. I do all the usual updates etc.

Maybe you could Copy Paste one of the non working addresses here and maybe someone would figure it out.

There have been a lot of studies on spinach germination. It has been found that the "NaOCl/H2O2 method" ensures almost complete and prompt germination. Complete and prompt germination is a major marketing benefit. You can look up that method. Papers online. Seems to work in many kinds of seeds. I have not tried it, but next time I do seeds that don't like to germinate, I'll be trying it. "NaOCl/H2O2 method" is defined as - 4 hour soak in 0.5% NaOCl, followed by water soak for 15 hours, followed by sowing in 0.3% H2O2. You need the water soak to completely get rid of the NaOCl, which interferes with seedling growth. Shake it! Laundry bleach (e.g. Clorox) is 5% NaOCl. Topical antiseptic hydrogen peroxide is 3% H2O2. So we're talking 10:1 dilution of each. FWIW, the NaOCl also sterilizes the seeds, so they don't carry bad bacteria. It is said that NaOCl neutralizes germination inhibitors in the seed coat. H2O2 actually helps break down the seed coat, but does not interfere with seedling growth. I've heard that mild acid baths also help break down the seed coat.

Thanks, Martha. I tried both suggestions, but no change. Not sure exactly I've been using IE7...a couple of months, maybe? I'll be interested to see if the problem exists on my other computer. I can't tell at the moment because it needs a new monitor. Since posting the first time, I discovered that I can't open the comments to one of my blogs and I can't open the log-in screen that will let me download archived articles on a newspaper website. This is getting very irritating! I'll go see if Microsoft has some sort of help forum... Susan

No solar here. I am supposed to have the VF control the filtering, sweep, and the spa. The infinity edge is on a separate 2 hp whisper flo. My pool is 29,500 gallons. Does this sound OK? Also, I don't quite understand when you say that as soon as I plug the intelliflo i to any automation that it should be a 4x160. Can you elaborate. You are the only person out of quite a bit that seems to understand this beast.

Ditto to what prorange said. The only thing I don't know is if mowing slows them down. Last year I sprayed or pulled them before I could see if 2+ weeks of mowing would eliminate them. I didn't have the patience for it. Hopefully the weather will dry out enough for me to mow sometime this weekend. I am using a reel mower this year so I should be able to cut off the majority of the leaf. Once again, I have no patience so if it looks like they are growing back, I will spray them sometime this week. I looked at weed ID sites last year and thought it resembled pokeweed or pigweed. I got so frustrated last year I pulled some and took them to my county extension office. They couldn't ID it either. My guess is it's a perennial and not an annual which is why my pre-emergent isn't touching it. I have no idea how or why it started growing in my yard last year out of no where. Prorange, I STRONGLY recommend Ortho Weed B Gon for southern lawns. I used the concentrate form and mixed it in a tank sprayer. I diluted it with water a tad bit more than what the directions specified but the weed was dying within 24 hours and the damage to my grass was minimal. This stuff works fast and it works well. Works for me, except it redirected me to a login page.

Apparently looks for a cookie
so are you cookie enabled for that site ?
Also there are sometimes security settings. to not allow certain redirects which an add on toolbar might be enforcing.

Patience is not one of my strong suits. I do see that I am able to go to the main page where this article is started.

What I want is when I send an article to someone I want them to get the article, just as I'm reading it, not to have to find it on the page they are re-directed to.......

When this happens with other links I don't remember seeing any choice, just "No results found."

Could you explain these statements you made?
