This website & Malwarebytes' Incompatibility

I have had to switch to Mozilla Firefox as my browser.

Every time I access THIS website ... my Malwarebytes' software alert appears in lower right hand corner of my monitor. I also get an 11 character numerical.

The warning states: "Successfully blocked access to a potentially malicious website."

It then takes between 20 and 30 seconds to access anything on this website ... any page, any post, returning to previous page, etc.

It is frustrating and it has me concerned.

Any suggestions?

I would go to the malwarebytes forum and post there telling them what is happening to let them know and they may be able to help you. It could have to do with all the changes GW has been making and all the new ads.

Thank you, Ravencajun, for responding and providing the link to the Malwarebytes forum.

And, yes, I get a lot of pop-up ads from this website -- far more than any other website I visit.

Ok this is simple now. Just use Google and type edit registry and millions of hits appear. Look through the first few and you will find many tutorials with good graphics showing step by step. You are nervous and rightly so because of all the warnings about messing up a registry. HOWEVER, this is nothing more than making a correction to a spelling error if you look at it that way. First time just go into the registry working down to the needed page. Once there you can walk away and grab a coffee if you feel stress, or you can make the simple correction to the one entry in question. Those of us who help others always need to stress the importance of caution in the registry because of those who are so impetuous. my ex son in law is a good example, he goes into a computer like a bull in a china shop. Luckily I do not have to clean up behind him anymore :) Now I have learned how to put stuff into a flash drive and save my files. Why? You are going to back up the registry as a precaution, nothing more. To save your work, assuming it is stored in My Documents. Insert the thumb drive, cancel the popup right click Start click Explore Now you see Windows Explorer opened Look near the top on the left side and right click on My Documnts click Properties in the pop up Look to see how large the My Documents folder is and if you have enough room on the thumb drive. We'll assume you have room. OK.... Click My Documents to highlight On the right side click the top item to highlight Hold down the Shift key and tap the End key now all the right side is highlighted right click anywhere on the highlighted data click Copy in the pop up Scroll down the left side now to find the thumb drive right click on it in the pop up click Paste and the contents are copied to your thumb drive - or any other drive you designate. Done! Simple huh?

Google MBAM Error 732 unable to update. It's a connection issue, usually seen on dial up or slower connections. Power cycle the router if you use one. How are you connected? I do not think this is Malware related. I had this problem. On my Net Zero I could not up-date Malwarebytes. Here is a link that might be useful: Error codes for MBAM.

weedmeister is correct, if you read the paper that comes with the pans. It is something they also said about their pre-5 D SS pans which I have and have had for several years so this isn't something 'new'. As for the bluing, Cooks Ill. did a nice bit on that several years ago..A quick wipe with Bar Keepers friend takes care if it.

Using a highly rated security program is a better approach and protection requires no user invention. By doing so, neither Super Anti Spyware nor Malwarebytes will likely be needed. It's not like having these run are essential or even needed for a properly protected machine. If you're not using a best in class program, uninstall what you have plus these two , pick just one of the top three rated programs on this list of independent test results shown in the link below, and be happy. If you are using Firefox -- as I am -- you should just install the add-on AdBlockPlus and then add EasyList to it. It will make the ads go away, and -- though I can't guarantee it -- maybe Malwarebytes will quit responding that way if you block those ads. To add these things, go to the EasyList page (which has a link to AdBlockPlus), get AdBlockPlus installed, and then come back to add the EasyList subscription. All free, all fast to do.

I second what kudzu9 says, as I too have Firefox, Malwarebytes, and Adblock Plus with Easylist and don't have any ads or problems.

I'm curious. I have always used Adblock Plus but didn't know about EasyList. I just subscribed and notice the Privacy List. Is that one worth getting?

thunderboltlee-Just wondering: I have had the exact same problem for several weeks. I've updated my Malwarebyte's anti-malware program, installed Adblock Plus with EasyList, and I still get that same message ("successfully blocked" etc.) I was gone (without this computer) for about 10 days, but here we are back again with no improvement. Did you ever resolve this? Anyone else with any other ideas?

If you've got the full version run the update it works fine, also to anyone thinking of upgrading I suggest you do as its great protection, the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware program will work fine if you simply right click on the icon and click allow IP on this site. Other than that I highly recommend you do upgrade, for those thinking ive linked to a site were you can get a discount incase anyone is intrested.

Call me over careful if you wish as I am leery of the above post. It's that old apprehension caused by someone just appearing out-of-nowhere with a non-specific e-mail address to a non-specific domain, and the member name in black. Plus the presented, "linked to a site" in regards to a commercial offer rather than directly to Malwarebytes just doesn't set well.
