spyware infection
I have a desktop running Windows XP. I have a windows antivirus popup indicating windows has detected spyware infection. I also have a windows security alert warning of potentional spyware operation that is making unauthorized copies of my system and Internet files. It wants me to download spyware remover which costs money. My husband said we had antivirus, etc. automatically from AOL. My husband has since installed spybot which he says took care of the problem. If he is correct, why do I keep getting the above mentioned popups? I have AOL 9.0 and Verizon dsl. Does anyone have any suggestions to get rid of these pop ups? Husband tried what was recommended to get rid of them but it didn't work. Thanks!
