We had the time of our lives!!! The weather was great, and the shopping was Fantastic. As you can see....Rachelle spent all her money

The local birds loved her too.....

Here was our view from our hotel room....

It was so nice to get up every morning and watch the Surfer's come in on the waves. Diana55

I mentioned this posting to a friend of mine. She said she had a similar problem with her daughter. She found a novel way to fix it. Her daughter's bathroom was one of those in the middle of the house without a window, so the light always had to be on when someone was in the bathroom. When no amount of reasoning with her daughter would get her to take shorter showers, Mom put one of those timer switches on the bathroom light that automatically turns the light off after 15 minutes. Since the switch was too far to be reached without getting out of the shower, her DD had to either continue in the pitch dark, or get out of the shower before all went black. Once she was out, she usually stayed out. Anyway, not a solution for everyone....but it might work for some.

Why are you so bothered by something that happened before you met your husband? You surely don't expect that younger him was going around in 1999 saying to himself, "I'd better not have any relationships in case Alison comes into my life"? And don't you think it must be a terrible shock to his daughter (don't call her "so-called", it's mean spirited) to find out the man she thought was Dad all these years isn't- and it sounds like he might have rejected her into the bargain? Since you live so far apart it's unlikely that this young woman will have much, if any, "impact" on your family unless you choose to make a huge deal out of it. And if your boys do find out about their surprise big sister, use it as a teaching moment that "sometimes we make mistakes/poor choices" and that forgiveness is part of the moral package.

Here’s an updated photo of how it looks now. Her lettuce is growing so fast, we can barely keep up eating it! And everything else is growing well. We may have been a bit too ambitious with how much we planted but it’s a good experiment in intensive gardening. Here is what is in the bed from left to right: - radishes, we just planted more seeds as the last ones bolted in the heat we are having - corn - drying beans - carrots - peas - bell pepper - cucumber - tomato - green onion - lettuce I’ve started writing an ebook that goes through the full construction process of the bed/planter which I hope to have for sale by next month.

Yes Nancy we did go a Laua. That is where we were when the pics were taken....
The Laua was at the "Royal Hawaiian" and that is where we stayed. It was just wonderful there. The best part was waking up in the morning and looking out onto the water and seeing the "Surfers" come in....

Diana!!! You look beautiful and so happy to be with your daughter in Hawaii. Hey, ya think if I bring my daughters to Hawaii that I'll look as good as you? Off to make the reservations. LOL!

One of my favorite things to do when we were in CA on vacation was to wake up early, sit on the balcony, drink my coffee and watch the surfers.

Hoo-hah! I didn't open this thread because I thought it was the other one with the skellies!

The dress turned out great and you look wunderbar in it! I visited the Royal Hawaiian when I was there awhile back - Waikiki was still decorated for Christmas and all th hotels were decked out - so pretty. I love the view of Diamond Head from there.

Your daughter must've had a blast watching all the tanned young kahunas!

Gina....Yes my little "Miss" had her eyes on one of the dancers in the Laua. He looked like a young Elvis Presley. I couldn't help staring at him myself. I've been told that I looked like Debbie Renolds, but not Connie Stevens. ROFLMAO !!!! Diana55
