Our Easter Project

While both of my daughters were here for Easter, we had a family project of painting the birdhouses for outside. They came out so cute!

LOL, OA..loved your last sentence. I think you nailed it. All those photos are not just 'inspiration', there's a lot of learning there too I guess. I've got so much on Too Long To Do list now to try and do or make. I probably should post an occasional reminder, but I feel sort of like it might sound as if I'm pushing for attention with the albums. I hope most of you keep the main Holiday link to them bookmarked, so its easy for you to get to them, and reminds you they are there. Frou, generally its easy to move photos, tho it does break any links to pictures already posted. There is a 'move' link on each picture, and you direct it to which album you want it sent to. You can't move a whole album tho, which is why the Tablescape one stays in wrong place on my home page. I'm too lazy to start over with it and move all the photos to new albums in our Holiday section. hugs, Karen

Those are so pretty Shaun.

Do you know what kind of birds will nest in those houses?

Have you done this before and watched the birds putting straw etc inside to line the nest?

(I'm always watching and listening to birds LOL.)

Thanks everyone, I think they came out cute too. A couple of years ago, we got a huge dead tree limb and painted it white and then nailed colorful birdhouses on the tree limb and planted it in the ground. Looked like a birdhouse condominium. haha! Due to hurricanes and just weather, they've fallen apart. So now hubs made more little houses and we decorated them again.

We aren't sure what kinds of birds use them, but we have seen birds all around them. We leave them alone so we don't disturb anything.

Here we are getting ready to paint them....

Very nice, Shaun. Thanks for getting back to us with with the pics of them hung up. If I'm ever driving through Lakeland and see a bunch of adorable bird houses on a tree, I'll give a friendly toot of the horn :o)
