I started buying from Amazon US and I can't buy from Amazon UK (this book is not available in your area). They have now started up Amazon Aus and there is a constant banner asking me to swap, but I'm not going to as I think there will be less choice there.

Many cameras, when connected with a USB cord to a PC, appear as external drives in Windows Explorer. Find the folder with the media files (often named DCIM or a folder under it) and you can copy the files off onto your PC. Or, with the camera off, remove the SD card and connect it to the PC and do the same thing. Once the files are on the PC, the transfer to the iPad is an iPad question. I think you need to put it into a folder that "syncs" with the iPad using iTunes. Refer to the Apple forums for help if you can't figure it out. This is not a difficult task. Good luck.

You did the right thing by checking with the Apple Store, phoggie. They of course know their products so that's as informed an answer as can be had. It varies from item to item, battery to battery, but as I said before, the number of charge<->discharge<-> charge cycles for any battery is limited. If you are recharging it every single day, that could be over 800 cycles and without knowing whatever the expected life of an ipad battery is, Apple's advice says you've arrived. Do you wait until the battery is down to or near the warning level (I think with our iPad that's around 10% or high single digits) before plugging it in? You should. And when you plug it in, leave it connected until the recharge is complete. Good luck.

I understand your perspective. In my experience, no browser reliably works with all websites and which ones work with which can change. I often run into funky behavior with Chrome. While it shares a common engine under the hood with Chrome, my experience is different with Microsoft's most recent browser Edge, that replaced Internet Explorer. Firefox is often good but not always. Android browsers, even the Firefox one, can have idiosyncrasies. Safari on our iPad isn't always what works, that's why the iPad also has Firefox downloaded and ready to use. My employer's intranet, accessible from over the Internet, used to be a "Microsoft browser only" site. Now, MS Edge doesn't work at all with it, Chrome doesn't either, only Firefox does. There was no announcement, it was something I came upon by trial and error. Moral of the too long story - have a couple of browsers handy and ready to switch to because you can expect you'll need to. I'm not saying that's a certain remedy for those having trouble on this site but it is generally a common experience.
