Viewing IM graphics in IE/Yahoo mail

Last month I was able to view IncrediMail stationery when opening my mail from Yahoo mail client. This only lasted about two weeks and I'm now back to not being able to see them. It was really neat for that time even though they weren't exactly in IM form and they changed the view of the email. For example, some made the standard words (From, To, Subject, etc.) larger or smaller and also changed their positions (just like in IncrediMail), depending on the graphic. Plus it took them a few moments to load but they were there in plain view. Hey, I have a witness! LOL

Anyway, does anyone know why suddently I was able to view the graphics (letters, stats) and why now I am again not able to view them? I'm not really sure I recall properly, but I think I had downloaded an IE v.6 update. (I know I absolutely did not install v.7.) Even so, the update would still be on my computer and functioning. I just don't understand what I did wrong or rather what I did right LOL to be able to view them and now I can't.

Hope I explained that well. I'm running Windows XP.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is anyone else running IE able to view IM letters from Yahoo mail?

Just my humble opinion, but if Classic Mail does disappear entirely, don't be surprised. When changes like this happen, it's usually because those in charge think their new way is better (or more profitable) and they won't devote time & effort to support the old way of doing things indefinitely. Trying to get you used to the new way of doing things is just their way of breaking it to you gently. Now might be the right time to learn how to install and use an email client of your choice that can be customized to suit your needs rather than leave your mail in the hands of those who are making changes you don't like. There are many good, free programs available. I use Thunderbird.

I was using the full address, just as on my desktop. I finally did the HELP thing, and they wanted my cell phone. I don't have text enabled, so did not enter that. When I typed in an alternate EMail, message says they don't have that one in their records. So I clicked on "Can't access either one", and they sent an Email with reset information to be accessed tomorrow afternoon. Funny thing - if I still didn't have the desktop to receive the Yahoo Email, and I can't log in on laptop - how in the world would I have been able to reset?? Just doesn't make sense. And I hope tomorrow afternoon I will be able to reset and log in on laptop. I don't have a positive feeling about it!

Jasdip you should definitely be using a more updated and more secure version of IE, or any browser for that matter, they are updated to eliminate security vulnerabilities. I have IE 11 on my windows 7 machines. I never use it but I keep it updated. I would suggest going to at least 10. You should be getting these as critical updates through your Windows updates, are you getting those updates monthly or as issued? They are very important. You can check through the windows updates in control panel.

Last nite was almost the final straw. It was slow loading, as usual and a window popped up to say it was slow and do I want to switch to Basic view to speed it up? I did and when I clicked on my messages the Reply, Delete etc were all gone! So reading the messages was useless. The Options, Help and Sign out buttons weren't clickable either. Good Grief!!! I did read my mail using IE, but that isn't the point. What the heck? I don't like Gmail and don't want Hotmail, so not sure what to do. You guys are lucky, that can still use the old version. Under the Help button here one of the FAQ is if the old version can be kept and the answer is no, we can't use that one anymore. Oh, I cleaned my history, cache and cookies this morning. I do malware, spyware etc etc regularly.
