I just got an email from my sister who has att mail with yahoo she is unable to access her contacts and the auto complete for the To: field is not working either. she had just updated firefox to 12 and thought that did it but I don't see how updating firefox could affect her contacts in email.

Jasdip you should definitely be using a more updated and more secure version of IE, or any browser for that matter, they are updated to eliminate security vulnerabilities. I have IE 11 on my windows 7 machines. I never use it but I keep it updated. I would suggest going to at least 10. You should be getting these as critical updates through your Windows updates, are you getting those updates monthly or as issued? They are very important. You can check through the windows updates in control panel.

for those using yahoo email some new info you should be aware of. Yahoo! for many it is acceptable but it definitely should be something you at least know is happening. Bee you can keep your yahoo address but use a different email client to fetch all your yahoo mail and display it in their email format, you can also select to have any mail you are sending out from that new email client send it as the from address being your yahoo address. No one would know you had changed and you would not have to go through that hassle. I have that feature set up on some of mine I have kept some of my old email addresses active that way but never actually go there and use them. For example that gmx one is super easy to set up and use, it will not change a thing on your yahoo account so don't be afraid to do it because you think it may mess that up. It will then list on the gmx account your yahoo account and when you click on that you see all of that mail, it will also your gmx account and any mail etc you have in it. Most of the major players offer this option just because people dread having to make all those changes and notifying everyone. Plus if you decide you don't like it and don't want it just drop it, they are all free so why not give them a test drive.
