I've really enjoyed looking at the pictures of everyone's beautiful kids, grandbabies, MIL, etc and thought I'd post my youngest DD's senior pics~hope it's ok. I had to block the studio's name, so they are kind of cut off.

Rayne, it looks fantastic!! That limb is so perfect for your set-up. I think it's worthwhile endeavor...I asked for advice on this topic on another thread & got some very helpful info; these comments here have been useful as well. I did end up doing one, (photo soon to be up, I hope)but I had to keep it very columnar due to space constraints. Tacked 7 different orchid specs. all in bloom to a moss covered post. Set that in a pothos plant for the trailing & softening. I'm lucky in that it's placed to get a lot of light. Kept them in their plastic pots & covered them w/ moss also - hoping that combo, plus regular misting & watering of the pothos, will help them retain correct moisture level. It will have to be moved anyway around Thanksgiving; so I'm already trying a few different tricks with the manzaneta. I'm psyched to check out the other plants you mentioned terp.

Robin, I bought the Itea at Tinker Grove Gardens in Colleyville. Now that it is done blooming, I don't have nearly as many butterflies. My boyfriend thinks I am bozo crazy nuts because when we pulled up the seasonal color (pansies), I had to replant some of them behind another plant due to all the cats crawling on them!! Now that it is later in the year, he is STILL the only swallowtail to come into my yard (at least while I was watching).

Found this for Taunia this week. For those that may not have a Print program yet. Before you buy, here's a freeware version of PrintMasterhref> (Express). It's a bit limited...comes with no graphics, but if you register with the site, you can download lots!! Here's some templates href> for it too. Thought some may want to try out a program before buying. If you like it, find it will work for you..you can pruchase either a PrintMaster or PrintShop program...they're pretty close to the same, these days.... Just though I'd share :-) Tiger

Wish I were as eloquent as yaya, because she said it all so well. Your daughter's a beautiful girl and hope you're managing, Jamie. Are you interested in a support group? A friend lost her mother last fall and has been attending one, which she finds helpful. I know everyone grieves in her own way and I hope you have lots of support and comfort; I know you do here. OT, Woodie: my SIL named her baby daughter 'Shayna Linda'. We cracked up because I don't think she realized that she named her 'Pretty Pretty' - Yiddish and Spanish!

And my son and his wife named their poodle ( now 16 1/2!) Shayna Punim....but she's not so shayna as of late.....definitly an old lady...

LOL @ SharonH! They would be a very nice looking couple!

Nicole (younger DD) graduates HS in May. She's not sure what she wants to do but currently her thoughts are either bartending or working with disabled children. She works at a camp in the summer for children with moderate to severe physical disabilities and finds it interesting and rewarding. Bartending, on the other hand, "would be cool" and she feels she could do really well with tips (and sleep late, too). She now waitresses and likes food services.

She was severely hearing impaired until age 8 when she had her last restorative hearing operation - we fondly refer to her 'bionic ear'-lol. She's currently hearing at almost 100% although will need another surgery or two.

Is college in the picture too? Here in the US, most places (all?) need bartenders to be 21, to serve alcohol. Maybe she could work with the kids, then bartend?

Here in MA, you can bartend/serve alcohol at 18 years of age, you just can't drink it until 21 :). At this point the deal is DD will take a night school bartending class, BUT also take day classes at community college and work towards a degree -
