Seeking Hard Drive recommendations - of all sorts

Between my hard drive dying - and Christmas gifts, I'm in the market for 3 different hard drives and would like recommendations.

First - I'm looking for a 2TB external hard drive for my computer. I have lots of video. I also want enough space to use Acronis to backup my internal hard drive - with incremental backups and 3 months worth of new monthly image sets. Hope that makes sense but reading the Acronis threads it looks like I should back up more - and the external hard drive I have now is filled up from one full back up and one incremental.

My computer is Dell Inspiron - XP, 500 GB hard drive, 3GB Ram, esata port I'd like to use for faster transfers. Here are links to a few that look good. Any opinion on these are other recommendations:

http://www.buy.com/prod/cavalry-2tb-dual-interface-usb-2-0-esata-external-hard-drive/q/loc/101/212446688.html

These are one Fantom drive and 2 Cavalry's (that seem identical - not sure why slightly different prices from the same vendor - Buy.com)

----------------------------------------

The second is a portable 2.5 external hard drive to back up my husband's laptop - mostly music videos - already approaching 300GB. I think he might as well get at least 1TB. I haven't researched these yet but wonder what people like - 1-1.5 TB range. Vista computer - only USB

connection.

Just starting to look into this and found this one:

Not sure if I'll get another internal hard drive for my Dell. The current 500GB drive is dying and Dell will be replacing is with an equivalent drive. Since I will have to restore from the clone I'm making of this hard drive, maybe I should just go ahead and get a bigger drive? I do have a second internal 1.5 TB drive. But I could see another 1.5 TB or so hard drive. This is mostly because i use Tivo - and transfer some large files up to my computer - to edit out commercials and other sections of video. On an HD movie these files can be 15-20GB (Harry Potter). I'd like to be able to transfer a bunch up to my hard drive and have them there ready to work on when the opportunity arises - without having to be selective about which will fit - and not transferring more until I have those edited and stored somewhere (either on back up drive or back to the Tivo).

So any good recommendations for internal hard drive - of 1.5 -2 TB. Fast would be really useful for this video editing.

Here are some I'm looking at:

don't know if the price is worth it - but it seems fast and reliable

Lynn.
