still trying to download window 7 help!!!

I need SERIOUS help, im about to throw my computer against the wall. I recently posted a message asking help to try to download window 7 to my laptop. I was FINALLy able to download the ISO file but once it finished NOTHING happend, excep a file titled X15-65733 appeared, when i clicked on it a program called CyberLink Power2Go popped up, apparently a dvd burning program. It apparently wants me to burn a DVD, but a DVD of WHAT!!!!! PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!!I contacted Digital River the site i bought it from, but replied with the following message:

Thank you for ordering from the Windows 7 Student Offer online store.We understand that you are having issues after downloading your product.We apologize for the inconvenience; unfortunately, we are unable to assist you with technical support issues such as installation at the Windows 7 Student Offer online store. Please contact Microsoft for assistance with the product you have purchased.

Microsoft Wont help either, their customer service is horrible!! If anybody here can help me I would greatly appreciate it.

All ISO files must be burned to a disk using disk burning software.

Thanks for all the help, everyone. I'll tackle this next week. And Genes, I leave the auto-update on because it really is very convenient. I'm not sure this problem had anything to do with that because they have been begging me to download IE7 for months--but they never did it without my permission before. I still have not installed it or decided to. Just don't want any headaches I can't fix.

Thx Ravencajun, I'll use this scan. I am always very careful with surfing, ditto on email! Grady it is the server. They flash anote and give you 60 sec notice. And I do supposedly have accelerated download...Hah! Very frustrating night, last. I downloaded the Avira only to have it finish and tell me there was an error and to download it again. Then decided to try AVG, downloaded just fine, but wouldn't install. Told me the installation files were corrupt and to download a fresh copy! grrrrrrr. I guess I'll try downloading it again tonight! In the meantime on to the on-line scan.

I'm not an expert (I don't work in internet security), but for online banking. I think it's more a question of your browser than which version a Win user uses. I could be wrong. You should have a number of defenses working for you: 1) The data communicated between you and your bank is encrypted (on your side) by your browser. Which browser you use seems to matter, they're not all equally secure. Further, the communication follows certain protocols designed to provide a measure of security. It's not absolutely secure (there are still means and avenues of attack), but read on. 2)Your internet connection matters. Best not to do financial transactions on a public computer or an unencrypted public wifi. 3) As always, a current and effective anti-virus program helps prevent intrusions and malware. If all else fails, to my knowledge banks absorb customer losses from fraudulent acts. This is nothing new, people lose checkbooks and some crooks try to fake checks all the time. I'm not saying there are no chances you'd be inconvenienced, but I think anyone's risk of loss is close to nil. I'm an anti-paranoid. There's risk in all daily activities, I refuse to worry or overly concern myself with them. Most risks of using the internet are easily avoided with simple tools and common sense. Beyond that, I never give them a second thought.

Can you download and use OE with Win 7?

I searched and searched and was unable to use OE in Windows 7. I tried Thunderbird but did not like it. So I ended up using Windows Live Mail. You do have to download it; it is not automatically on Windows 7 machines. There are differences, but it works enough like OE that I don't mind using it. I have two gmail accounts and one other online account. I set all them up to download in my Live Mail program.

I am not familiar with CyberLink Power2Go but the fact that it pops up implies that it is ready to do the job.

Select the Burn ISO option and follow the instructios i.e. select the X15-65733 file then click Burn DVD - just a couple of clicks.

Cyberlink Power2go comes with a DVD player/burner, not sure which one 'cos I have had it for a few years but never used it.

Do as Bee4me says and follow the burning process once Cyberlink appears onscreen. Zep,s second link to burning an ISO will help you as to which choices to make as you move forward.

I fully understand your frustrations but you need to have a clear head and be determined to move forward one step at a time. Don't allow yourself to be overwhelmed, it hinders progress. And yes, I have been there many times including right now with a seemingly bad motherboard.

OMG!! THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE!!!!!! I've been so frustrated with trying to download Window 7.I am going to try everyone's advice to get this done.
