Netscape Navigator 9 is available as a standalone installation for Windows, Mac OS, and Linux. The automatic update feature in your current Netscape browser will not upgrade to 9.0.0.5. Please download the new version now for the latest updates. Official support for all Netscape client products will end on March 1st, 2008. oh yes I have known of Delicious for years, use it on occasion to look for stuff, I do not put mine on it however. I use xmarks which does create a webpage for me with all of my bookmarks on it so that I can access my bookmarks from any pc anywhere by logging on to my xmarks page, plus it makes it very easy to set up a new pc with all my bookmarks by simply putting the xmarks add on in the browser and it takes care of everything else. It is also now available for IE too. The page xmarks sets up however is totally private and you log into it with a user name and password. I too much prefer to keep all of my bookmarks private. I don't understand what you mean, I use firefox and all of my bookmarks are set up in folders. I created the folders then any time I want to save a bookmark I select the folder to save it to. My xmarks is saved the exact same way of course since it just clones it. I do not have any "loose" bookmarks everything is in a labeled folder specific to that selection. Some of the various folders would be: forums, mail, music, purchases, security, linux, windows, games, recipes, etc. In those I save any bookmarked page that is relevant to that category. I also use the tags and keywords in firefox when I bookmark a site so that if I need to do a search for it in my bookmarks I just go to organize bookmarks and then do a search for that tag or keyword to bring up related sites. My Ie faves are also set up in folders but I rarely use it.

Pam: Ah, if only it were! *History* I get by clicking on the cat icon with the clock, and the history menu drops down on the *left* side of the screen. You can see where this one is, and I get this menu by clicking on the thing like double parentheses next to the star in the address window. Besides, as I said, I have had History turned off for a long time and that side bar is empty. The items in this menu happen to be mostly things I have only visited once or twice and are by no means representative of my browsing history. If they were, it might be of some use. Owbist: Thanks. I wasn't looking for speed or accessibility. I just don't like having something whose method of working and management I don't know. It bothers me! It even bothers me that I don't know its name, so I am hampered in looking for a solution. Linesman: Your message just came in. That seemed to do the trick, and I was thinking Yippee! But, alas, the sites didn't stay deleted. They disappeared when I highlighted them and clicked Delete, but the minute I clicked on the "parentheses" mark that brings up that menu, there they all were again. Closing and reopening FF didn't make a speck of difference. I have found that clicking on the star in the URL window adds a new site. So half of the mystery is solved, but the half that most interests me is the deleting part! LOL I think I'm going to have to uninstall and reinstall FF, but even that may not help.
