I grow several mauve roses including Melody Parfumee, Lagerfeld, Wild Blue Yonder, Neptune, and Fragrant Plum. I grew Stainless Steel but it was such a dog that I shovel pruned it the second year. It was a disease magnet and never bloomed worth a hoot. I am on my second Neptune as the first bush bloomed once and then refused to grow and bloom anymore so I got rid of it as well. This second Neptune I am glad to report is doing much better and I am hoping that this year--it's second--it will continue to impress me. Quite by accident I ended up with two bushes of Fragrant Plum, but that has been okay as they are both growing and blooming right as rain. JOhn I am most pleased with Melody Parfumee as it has been a very vigorous and healthy growing bush and it blooms alot. The blooms are very fragrant and last a long time on the bush. My flowers do not fade much if any before they need to be deadheaded. I would recommend it highly to anyone. John

roper2008, i'm basing that these are lemon boys on blind faith in a coworker who gardens professionally on the side. the seeds, according to him, came from a lemon boy tomatoe that he got from another coworker. so it's kinda like the old whisper in the ear of the kid in front of the class and by the time it gets to the back it's totally something different. he gave me a cup that had five crowded seedlings, three look very much like the ones in the pictures and two others have the look of creoles. he told me he tried to plant creoles but had no germination in the cups and then planted the lemon boy seeds. anyway, it could be anything and i'll keep you informed what happens. cozy- that's how to grow tomatoes. are you going commercial or are you just an over zealous tomatoe freak. my lot here in the subdivision is right around 1/2 acres but i do have 40 acres up the road a bit in mississippi. i'm growing a lot of blueberries up there. blackberries are growing naturally and i'm introducing raspberries. i'm also doing them here at the house, but the soil here is difficult to support blueberries and raspberries. i'm doing well enough with heavy soil ammendments though. erlyberd- i have no plans on selling tomatoes myself right now. cozy looks like he/she needs to sell but then again some people are really hungry and big eaters.. haha.. i do plan on canning, making sauce, and salsa. i crabfish commercially as a side job, just started and i was planning on opening a small buisness around that with maybe branching out to selling fresh produce. i really have an interest in farming wild mushrooms. hopefully all the crabs don't die from the oil.

I love texting! I'm a middle-aged woman, but I text all my friends, and most of them know how to text back. We text little stuff, things we probably wouldn't make a phone call to talk about. "Clients were awful today. Calgon, take me away!" ... "Grace is driving me nuts. Want her to come live with you?" ... "Fajitas for dinner. Yum!" Texting does not isolate me. On the contrary, it connects me on a new level. It's similar to when email became popular. I got closer to my sister and my faraway friends, because email allowed me to say little things that I wouldn't have called or written to say. Same for texting, only moreso. I also use texting for simple exchanges of information. "We'll be late to gymnastics. There by 3:15." ... " "Will you bring the Mitchell file to court today? I need to copy some stuff." In the courthouse, everyone is texting. It saves so much time. For example, instead of running down the hall to another courtroom to look for a file, one of the D.A.'s will text the D.A. in the other courtroom. I've pretty much substituted text messages for voicemail messages, too. Most of my friends use their cell phones primarily or exclusively, and it's a lot easier to read a quick message than to have to dial into voicemail. (Speaking of which, as far as I can tell, young people don't use voice mail anymore. Young friends of mine complain when their mothers call and leave messages. "Why is she leaving a message? I can see she called on caller ID.") Just FYI, if you'd like to text someone but don't have texting on your cell phone (or don't have a cell phone), sign up for a Gmail account. It allows you to send SMS messages (that's texting) from your computer, just the same as an email. People can respond to you, too. I'm sure there are other services that do this, but Gmail happens to be the one I use. However you feel about texting, I think it's smart for anyone who has a child or grandchild to learn to do it.
