It looks like I got the problem resolved. I used REVO to totally remove FF and all references to it, including personal settings. I opened I.E and browsed the web and all worked well. I.E. is using the FIREFOX version of FLASH PLAYER 10______.34 which I manually installed into I.E. and it accepted. I then ran the install for FireFox 5.0 As it was loading it asked me if I wanted to import settings from I.E., I opted YES, I was then asked if I would like to make FF my default, I opted YES. Once done and without making any changes or additional additions or actions of any kind, FF imported everything I had in I.E. I went to several sites I knew Flash Player would be needed and everything worked fine. It appears as I suspected, there was a toggle somewhere in FireFox that got toggled to either TRUE or FALSE. I wish I could have determined which one, to have made this problem go away sooner. If time permits, I may play with them until I can recreate the problem. pkPonder. Thanks for replying to email. I'll take a look. I have my privacy settings straight I think. It took a while to understand and I also have a friend who announces new threats that FB has put upon our safety. I have not changed to messenger and know others have used it for awhile and wanted me to. Why? My bank credit card was used by an owner of a restaurant who had my receipt from the week before. The man wiped me out without swiping it or getting my signature. Yeah, I have gone after him. My bank investigators got him right away - when I notified them. It is disturbing in many ways. I caught him also swiping it twice and one of those swipes had no signature. It went thru my bank. Scary. Privacy is uncertain anywhere. Pay with cash some say. Need documentation for some things like overcharging. Thanks, Mary for the adblocker info. No, I didn't know I could do that. It is great news to know the site online I looked at shoes yesterday won't show up on FB the next day. I am a student to all of you and do listen. I come back here to just read. Also on FB there are come-ons within the postings. One yesterday shouted "Would you like to know more about your neighbor?" and a link. There were hundreds of people who responded with a resounding NO. FB lets us learn hard lessons on our own while counting the cash they made off of the deceitful people. I detest it but use it to keep up with friends - like everyone else. Next up I will ask u all how to get my "downloaded to PC" IOS pics and videos landing in the right direction and do I have the right software and other hard stuff to easily send them to FB and other places. I think most of you are Android users. But I will wait and let you digest the conundrums I have place on you so far.

I will caution you on using any of those type applications on a facebook page it is much safer to go to the actual game site home page and play there, any app like that on facebook can be and have often been altered to infect a users pc by changing the scripting of the app. I urge people to NEVER use any type of 3rd party app on facebook or any other social networking site, people set those things up specifically to entice people to use them and get infected. Since you have been using them I would urge you to download, update and run a full scan with malwarebytes free to see if you are possibly infected. Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware for a reality check just go to google and search for facebook virus for just a few of the many types of infections out there. Facebook and my space are a hackers dream land.

I apologise for the different threads. It was very late, I was tired, and determined to "fix it" before I went to bed, and becoming more irritated because I couldn't. Here's the scenario: Usually watch YouTube music videos a while in the evening, so, day before this happened, everything was fine, shut computer down, went to bed. Next evening, logged into YouTube with the error message: you must have Java off or not have latest Adobe Flash. I had NOT changed any files, etc. Checked the Adobe I had, went to Adobe website to check. Installed the latest Adobe Flash. I also installed the latest Adobe Reader and Shockwave Player, since mine were out of date. And, although I didn't opt to install it, the Adobe Air showed up on my programs list. I also went to Java and got their latest updates. Videos stil won't play, so I came here with the problem. Advice was to go to Adobe site, get the uninstaller,download to desktop, close browser, uninstall Adobe again, then go to Adobe page and re-install. I did, and still videos won't play. I have an Dell from 2002, Windows XP Home, 32-bit, 7.30GB of free space.
