Anyone have/heard of Windsor Windows
Comments (49)@Cindy Bolen we are using Windsors here in Salt Lake. they are VERY popular and used widely in the hot dry valleu and the harsher canyons (park city). why? im guessing the climate here is better suited, not as humid. they came highly recommended and we also considered marvins and vinyl kolbes. if i lived in a more humid environment i may have considered the kolbes… but with the local distributor being one of windsors top/largest markets, and having a great relationship with them and our builder, we felt wise in our decision....See MoreWindsor Windows vs. Jeld Wen
Comments (3)Personally neither brand is very good in my honest opinion. I have no idea where your building or what material you would you would like your windows made of or what type of windows your using but you may want to look at Integrity by Marvin (Fiberglass). These may be out of your budget as well but they are about the least expensive I would recommend. You may want to post this in the window forum and possible someone else may offer a suggestion as well but windows are not a place I would suggest looking to cut the budget....See MoreHinged patio doors—Marvin Integrity, Windsor Pinnacle or ThermaTru?
Comments (4)There are only 3 building supply dealers in my area, and none of them carry Soflite or Okna. They do 2 hours away in Northern VA (SoftLight) and Okna's "Find a Dealer" is "Coming Soon" on their website. So for local support/response I have a choice of Provia (getting a quote from Richmond dealer), Marvin, JeldWen, Windsor, Anderson and ThermaTru. I will research performance values, but I find it interesting that Windsor's prices are higher than Integrity. I haven't gotten an Anderson quote yet, but I'd go with Integrity over Anderson anyway. While I have more confidence in homeowner reviews/feedback on this site, there are a few negative opinions on Windsor windows on a couple of oddball sites, however you never really know if they are paid trolls or actual complaints....See MoreExperience with Windsor Pinnacle Windows
Comments (2)Hi Andrew, We have placed many Windsor Pinnacle sliding doors and windows in Florida and have had great reviews by the homeowners both from aesthetic and operational viewpoints. Comparing the Integrity line to the Pinnacle series is apples and oranges due to the difference in materials. Also, if you happen to be choosing a dark exterior, I would advise aluminum clad for its durability (Windsor can also pre-finish the interior black as well). Good luck with your project!
