Linda, I also prefer the portable sewing machines. I have a Husqvarna machine, made in Sweden, which I've had for over 15 years, and I also have an overlock machine, which is even older. I bought the Husqvarna because it had the most stitches suitable for knits and the fewest stitches that I would never use. I don't know what machines are like today, but I didn't like the computerized machine that I used to have. Once the program stopped working, it would have cost more to fix the machine that it was worth, and that's when I replaced it. The manual portable machines have fewer problems and are easier to fix when they do. I also like Mitch's idea of inserting a glass container for flowers, but I doubt I will ever use it for flowers. Because the opening is very small (considering the overall width), I would not be able to get a very large container inside. I could make an acrylic liner, however, as I have worked with acrylic before and have the tools for making the seams. Lars

Yeah, framed (had art.com frame it before shipping it out) it was like $100ish. I took it to a framing shop yesterday to get an estimate - $425. I will definitely checkout the link above! When I selected this, I spent HOURS looking through art.com. I did compile a list of about 15 prints I liked. If I can find that list, it will at least be a starting point -- I can narrow it down by size. I have a bathroom this print should work well in. (I'm hesitant to add monster matting around it, just because the large mat/small print looks "contemporary" to me -- but I can't say why!!) :) Funny thing is, I blocked these dimensions out on posterboard and hung it in the space, and it looked OK. Must have been an illusion thing since the posterboard was white and the print is dark. Redsox, the artist is Norman Wyatt Jr. This print is either "Row of Trees I" or "Row of Trees II".

I would put a large wall decor between them, center them one on top of the other, or start a collage, that wall is perfect for decor. have you thought of a hallway table? Etsy is a fantastic place to get ideas for wall decor and have incredibly reasonable prices, you can even work with the sellers, especially during these tough times. I understand decor is expensive and due to the virus, thrift stores aren't open. However, eBay is the online thift store. You can even find some sad looking frames, even dressers if you use the filter "local pickup", etc..then some acrylic paint on Amazon (1$-5$ per bottle/3$ gloss) and repaint. It may sound like a lot but it's really not!! 20$ will go a LONG way on thrift decor. I would also think about using the beautiful yellow colored wall when decorating.
