I'm equal opportunity when it comes to color, but only recently have I truly loved decorating with blue. I now appreciate its universal appeal and find that it works well in so many settings. As the weather warms, it seems like a great time to accent your home with this watery hue. And my favorite way to do that is with fabric! Here are some blue fabrics that I'm loving right now. — Daniela from Aesthetic Oiseau
This fabric from Charlotte Moss' new collection has a gorgeous, feminine silhouette print. And I love this shade of cornflower blue.
Unabashedly feminine, this floral is bursting with beautiful soft blooms. It would be lovely in a guest bedroom.
Although ikat is trending, I think silhouette versions like this one are so classic. Plus, navy will forever be a beautiful neutral.
I've recently come to love the combination of blue and green, and I think this pattern is so bright and cheery. The tulip motif is lovely.
This fabric has simultaneous geometric and tribal qualities. It's a great choice for throw pillows.
This loose basketweave is a great shade of denim blue. It's great for a boy's room or a casual den.
This is a great small-scale print that can work as a complementary fabric to something that is larger in scale.
This delicate, painterly print is perfect for a room with soft, neutral tones.
This is a trendy, good-looking ikat. I love the combination of powder blue, navy and turquoise, which makes a great color palette for a monochromatic room.
Stripes are so versatile, and I think this navy stripe has such a handsome, masculine quality to it. It would be great on a pair of club chairs in a den.
Giraffe is a huge favorite for me when it comes to animal prints. And in blue, it takes on a preppy appeal.
I think all of my fabric ideabooks have a buffalo check — I just can't leave it out! Like a stripe, a good check is versatile and can be a great backdrop for other patterns in a room.
This flamestitch pattern is a recent favorite. I love the movement and color tones, yet it's neutral enough to pair with something more colorful.
Textured fabrics are such a great addition to any space because they add dimension, especially when the texture has a sharp color contrast to its background color.
Chinoiserie prints are a personal obsession, and this fabric has a quilted texture that makes it unique among silhouette prints.
I love toiles for their femininity, and the watery hues and sweet scenes of this one make it a favorite of mine.
I love Jacobean florals for their intricate details, and the pops of chartreuse and aqua in this pattern are so pretty and make great colors for a family space.
This fabric is reminiscent of traditional blue and white porcelain. So timeless.
I used this fabric recently on pillows for a settee in a kitchen. I think the blue and khaki color palette makes this ornate fabric feel more masculine.
This woven jacquard is such a gorgeous mix of soft blues and neutral tones. It's a beautiful choice for upholstery if you can commit to the pattern.

By the way - did find a checked blue fabric - Pinder's
Calverton Mariner - on line. It is slightly closer to royal blue - than slate blue - but really looks good - recovered the chairs. these are Lazy Boy recliners - somewhat smaller than the behemoths one thinks of as recliners.
