My vet was throwing away some small insulin(?) bottles one day when I took My mini cat (Bitsy-smallest cat in the world) in for a visit, and I asked if I could have them. They saved me a whole gallon bag of little clear glass bottles. I made one bug, but got sidetracked on other things and have not made any more. ASK! Beck, I was on that site a few days ago and saw all the bottles you have been talking about. Some I put on the list to order. My Son-I-L orders from them all the time. I have bought some blue bottles (different from the ones they have now) before. When I put it on his order I don't have to pay shipping-Grin.

If you like Romans, take a look at jcp.com. They have some double romans (I got Spencer II) so there is a sheer behind the light-filtering shade, operate independently. The cords can be a hassle (2 sets) esp. on the 72" long ones I got for my slider. But on normal windows they're OK. I really liked the "double Roman shades" they had last year (no name) for my BR, DR, and study, but they don't seem to have the same ones. The headrail was slightly different from the Spencer II. I think the last time I visited the website they might have had a new (Jackie?) roman that might have been a double too, in an ivory color that might look nice in your kitchen. HTH. Sheers down

I like Grover’s idea a lot, if that plant could grow there. Otherwise, I’d plant ornamental grass(es) .... it would be a nice balance with the ones on the other side, and would provide interest without overwhelming the small area. You could do one med size grass and add a few interesting stones, for example, placed in a natural way. Or an odd number of smaller grasses. I’d keep it simple. I wouldn’t do the planter box idea (no offense to Beverly) because your house is boxy and square enough already. And it would cut that area in half, in an awkward way. I know planter boxes were popular with this era of houses, but that’s not a good spot for one, IMO. I do agree with her about the shutters.

The picture window would be in the middle, 2 windows flanking it can be sliders or double hung. Do you suggest not doing any double hung whatsoever? I know MCM is more of a slider or a casement look, however, double hung’s are so much more preferable to live with. As for the posts, These looks so skimpy and blah… that’s why I thought wrapping them in wood might look better. Not that I’m going to try to do a farmhouse look, just trying to warm up the curb appeal. Open to suggestions!!
